Olympic Games as the world’s highest level of athletic competition, shows the entire world sports development trend. Distribution on competitive strength of Summer Olympic events has a distinct international and regional characteristics.By using research methods including documentation research, expert questionnaires, mathematical statistics analysis and etc., this thesis paper makes an all-around and systematic analysis on competitive strength of the Olympic Program with the following major conclusions:1. The result of Olympic competition is a preferred measure of competitive strength in different regions. The number of medals is a important sensitive indicator of evaluating the overall competitive strength of continents and countries (regions). The distribution features of the overall competitive strength of the different continents is as follows:Europe and North America were high-sharing and low-growing, Asia and Oceania were high—growing and low-sharing, Central and South America and the African state were double-low.2. Corresponding to the four stages’development process of Summer Olympic Games, the overall competitive strength of continents show the different dynamic evolution and the asymptotic equilibrium of the overall trend. The distribution characteristics of intercontinental events group power is as follows:European in all six categories of items, both showed a distinct advantage medals in the four stages, and showed double-high trend or high-sharing and low-growing trend; North America in the measurement-group at all stages showed high-sharing and low-growing trend or double-high trend, but in other groups showed a high-sharing and low-growing trend; Asian at stage 4 was outstanding performance at defeat-group and score-group, it showed high-scareing and low-growing trend or double-high trend. Central and South America, Africa and Oceania were weaker on all groups of men and women at all stages, it showed low-scaring and high-growing trend or double-low trend. 3. The regional evolution of competitive str erent events show the different evolution modes, regional ode includes the evolution process mode and the evolution results mode, the process modes includes the core-radiation mode and the core-transfer mode, the result modes include the" single-core "mode, "dual core "mode, " multi-core mode. The regional evolution of competitive strength Summer Olympics Events present "interest-driven", "project clusters", "gradient transfer" and "cross-gradient transfer" four kinds of phenomena.4. The distribution of competitive strength of Summer Olympics events is divided into the relatively balanced state, the unbalanced state and the crisis state. three following indicators are selected to measure the distribution of competitive strength of Summer Olympics events:"number of aware-wining brand country continents/total number of continents" "the number of award-winning brand country/the number of international sports federations membership" and "the 80% cuntries number of the total medal score/the number of award-winning brand countries". In the fourth stage of Summer Olympics, The unbalanced state events are as follows: man and woman gymnastics and triathlon, men’s volleyball, beach volleyball, basketball, hockey, soccer and women’s kayak, archery, fencing, water polo, trampoline, synchronized swimming, artistic gymnastics; The crisis state events are as follows:man and woman table tennis, badminton, modern pentathlon, handball as well as men Water polo was a crisis state; other events are relatively balanced state.5. The effect factors of the strength distribution of Summer Olympic events include natural factors, social factors, political and economic factors and sports factors, These factors are interlinked and mutually constrained together inthe competitive strength of regional development.6. The process of the strength distribution of Summer Olympic Event is a balanced and unbalanced process. During this present period, the Olympic events’strength distribution is form unbalanced to balanced, and its development trend in the performance of equalization, diversification and clustering.
