Research On Entrepreneurial Resource Acquisition And Dynamic Evolution Of Entrepreneurial Network Relations

The motivations of joining or establishing the networks for enterprises mainly come from four aspects, lowering the transaction costs, obtaining bigger market power, getting others’knowledge, technologies and needed resources, and improving the interdependence with other enterprises. Generally speaking, for innovative businesses, reducing transaction costs, avoiding risks and obtaining new resources and ability are the main reasons for them to join the entrepreneurial networks and form the entrepreneurial networks, which become an essential part of the economic activities for start-up businesses. Viewed as a research object, the network should consist of three basic elements, the node, resource and activity. This thesis mainly deals with the relations among the nodes and the resource obtaining activities in entrepreneurship networks. The relations of entrepreneurial network arise by individual entrepreneurs as well as entrepreneurial organizations, and they are special ways for innovative businesses to get information, resources and social supports so as to recognize and make use of opportunities. What’s more, such relations are formed and developed in the process of resource acquirement. On the whole, with the development of the entrepreneurial network relations, the entrepreneurial network has experienced three stages of initializing, developing and optimizing. During the three stages, the entrepreneurial network relations form an evolvement pattern with strength and weakness, cooperation game, trust and optimization through the interaction of relational intensity, duration, quality and embedding mechanism. Our research has gained the following achievements.(1)Proposing the developing pattern of resource acquirement and entrepreneurial network relations. Based on the basic theory of entrepreneurship, the theory of resource dependence and the theory of social network, this thesis has put forward the developing pattern of resource acquirement and entrepreneurial network relations: the entrepreneurial network has experienced three stages of initializing, developing and optimizing. During the three stages, the entrepreneurial network relations realize their dynamic evolution through the interaction of relational intensity, duration, quality and insertion. In the process of resource acquirement, by way of the interaction of different network relations, the entrepreneurial network relations realized the evolution with the combination of strength and weakness, cooperation game, trust and optimization.(2)Establishing the dynamic model of strong-weak relationship based on resource acquirement. On the basis of the strong-weak relationship theory and the small world network theory, the thesis analyzes the function of the strong-weak relationship in the process of resource acquirement. At the same time, it finds that the combination of strong-weak relation in the best state endowed the entrepreneurial network with the characteristic of the small world network in the process of resource acquirement.(3)Establishing the cooperation game model of network relationship based on resource acquirement. Based on the entrepreneur’s motivation of getting the most profit whereas making the least contribution in the process of resource coordination, the research established the cooperation game model of network relationship. The analytic result shows that the coordinative behavior of the entrepreneurial network relations in the process of resource acquirement will finally come into a stable state, what is the stable Nash balance with cooperation game, and it has been proved by the theory as well as the experiment. In the enterprise’s practical operation, it is of great importance to establish a set of stable coordinative system so as to make full use of the resources in entrepreneurship networks.(4)Analyzing the management of the trust and optimizing of network relations based on resource acquirement. Depending on Granovetter’s Actors Embedded theory and the Ant Colony algorithm, this part represents the process of resource acquirement. With the development of the resource acquirement, the phenomenon of path dependence happened to the individuals in the entrepreneurial network, and they are more likely to rely on familiar network relations, especially strong relations. With resource acquirement’s going on, the scientific operation of the trust mechanism in network relations can restrain network members’behaviors and help to optimize the whole activities of resource acquirement.(5)Proposing the management framework for necessity entrepreneurial network based on resource acquirement. In the process of network development, the necessity entrepreneurs tend to utilize strong, informal and individual network relations characterized by families and relatives. Based on this point, combining the entrepreneurship resource acquirement and the analytic results of the evolution theory and model of entrepreneurial network relations, this thesis puts forward the policy suggestion on how to manage the necessity entrepreneurial network relations scientifically.
