It is an important measure to transform the mode of economic development andadjusting the industrial structure, and it is also an inevitable requirement for stepping onthe innovation-driven and endogenous growth path to foster and develop the equipmentmanufacturing industry especially the advanced equipment manufacturing industry as astrategic emerging industries. When the external environment changing the rules andhabits of the traditional world, even bring revolutionary destruction, at the same time thereis a big gap in the technical levels between the equipment manufacturing industries of thedeveloped countries and ours, it is very important that how to achieve industrial upgradingand to be competitive of the equipment manufacturing industry by technological ridicalfacing the threaten of the environment and the opportunity of the industrial transformation.On the premise of demonstrating the driving force of ridical innovation in theequipment manufacturing industry, the mechanism to carry out ridical innovation is buildup base on process, and the systematic evolution process of the mechanism is simulatedwith Synergetics, based on this, evaluate the paths to build up the ridical innovationmechanism of the equipment manufacturing industry of China by structural equation, andfind the critical paths based on empirical study. The major studies concerned in this paperare as follows:Firstly, clarified that equipment manufacturing industry occupies an important placein NIS by using cointegration. Based on the former work, demonstrate the practicalsignificance that the advanced equipment manufacturing industry implementing ridicalinnovation in the aspects of external environment and inner needs, to support thedemonstration, a case of the hydraulic excavator from’technology interest’ to ‘market’ isgiven. The barriers of ridical innovation in equipment manufacturing industry areelaborate from the aspects of the creativity, long cycle time and resistance to change.Secondly, based on defining the concept and composition of the mechanism of ridicalinnovation, a conceptual model of the mechanism of ridical innovation is given. Thedynamic mechanism, operation mechanism, incentive mechanism and guaranteemechanism make up the innovation mechanism. The dynamic mechanism can be dividedinto two parts: the driving force mechanism and the resistance mechanism. The operationmechanism can be divided into four subsystems: the innovation planning, the ideagenerating, the idea incubating and the idea commercializing. The incentive mechanism includes the goal setting, performance assessing and the rewarding mechanism. Theguarantee mechanism includes the government policies, intellectual property managementand risk investment mechanisms. Additionally, analyzed the interactions between thesubsystems of the model, the mechanisms of the ridical innovation are crossing,connecting and restricting each other as a whole.Thirdly, based on analyzing the driving forces and conditions of the co-evolution ofthe ridical innovation of the equipment manufacturing industry, the causal feedback loopof the ridical innovation mechanisms of the equipment manufacturing industry is build up.And determined the ridical innovation abilities as the order parameters of the ridicalinnovation system of the equipment manufacturing industry, set up and analyzed thesystem evolution equation, analyzed the trace and process of the system evolution.Then build a theoretical model of the ridical innovation mechanism of the equipmentmanufacturing industry using structural equation theory, analyzed the paths affect theridical innovation abilities of the equipment manufacturing industry by a large number ofquestionnaires after a confirmatory factor analysis to the subsystems. The results showthat in terms of the equipment manufacturing industry, the path coefficients of the factorsdirectly affect the ridical innovation abilities with descending order are:commercialization, innovation planning, resistance, idea generating mechanism, drivingforce, incentive mechanism, technology incubating, guarantee mechanism. And take theenterprise size as the adjustment variable in the multi-block analysisFinally, the critical paths of constructing the ridical innovation mechanism of theequipment manufacturing industry are analyzed from aspects of the innovation planning,commercializing and inner motivation. The importance of TRIZ to the ridical innovationwas discussed, then demonstrated how to make the demand forecasting and technicalforecasting to make enterprises innovation plans base on TRIZ. Described the way tocommercialize the ridical innovation by establishing the independent operating team andconstructing the open innovation nets, and discussed in detail on how to reinforce theinner incentive mechanisms of the equipment manufacturing industry by means ofspecifying the target type, measuring the subjective performance and encouraging byrecognition.
