This doctoral dissertation analyzes the characteristics of certain auxiliary words and phrases in the language expression of the Secret History of the Mongols from the epistemological point of view. Introduction presents previous opinions and studies on the Secret History of the Mongols, and briefly introduces relevant concepts, theories and methods, as well as the significance and value of this study. Chapter One analyzes the characteristics of the language in the Secret History of the Mongols and the reason why it was written so, also studies the original meaning and evolution of the words On, Sar-a and Odor. Chapter Two studies the following four groups of words, namely Mor, Yoson, Toro, Uray, Oboy, Nokor, Anda and Tngri, from the point of view of the nomadic society and beliefs of the Mongolians of the13the century Mongol Empire. Chapter Three analyzes the meaning of two phrases chosen from the Secret History of the Mongols, Old singgekui idege ideldujii, Old umartaqu uges oguleldeju and Qoy idejii qomayul tuleju, from the point of view of the transition of the nomadic society, customs and beliefs. Through the chapters above, this dissertation attempts to answer the question what goals the authors of the Secret History of the Mongols tried to achieve by using this kind of language.
