Human self-realization is a basic content in Marxist philosophy. It is a theory thateach individual goes for the full and free development, which is presented from theperspective of social movement and human being self-determined activity It refers todialectical and interactive relations with different dimensions between realistic humanbeing existing as itself and material objects (goods, currency, capital), between individualand others (society), human and nature. And. In my view, Marx’s human self-realizationconsists of two parts. One is realistic individuals’ inevitable realization process to aim atfull and free development and the other is realistic individuals’ real living condition incertain relationships. The human beings that Marx analyzes are realistic individualsliving in certain social relationships. Therefore the premise of human self-realization isvalid awareness for itself and its relative realistic relationships and developmentdirections. The way of human self-realization is to get rid of the chains from realisticrelations attached to human beings.Marx’s human self-realization is not vacuous concept accumulation or abstractlogical deduction by reasoning. It is a total framework based on the realistic historicalprocess and is also a heterogeneity development theory including multiple ways of self-realization for individuals existing in certain social relationships. Marx once said that allindividuals only thought about themselves, which refers to the individuals in currenthistorical conditions and relationships, not pure individuals according to ideologicalexperts. Therefore, the analysis of Marx’s human self-realization should be carried out onthe basis of the realistic background and scientific narration of Marxist philosophy andtopology and follows Marx’ thought. Thus the thesis is divided into four parts:The first part introduces the origin of human self-realization thought. It includes theexplanation to human self-realization in pre-Marxist period philosophy and to humanbeings from the perspective of political economy and to human self-realization thoughtfrom the perspective of socialism theory. Marxist philosophy is real thought developingin a certain time. Consequently, Marxist philosophy originally comes from the theory ofthe change of times and the reflection of the spirit of times. Therefore, the thesis is to describe the general theoretical background of human self-realization thought based onanalyzing Marx’s understanding to the following theories: the philosophical elucidationto human self-realization theory framework during pre-Marxist period (from Germanclassical philosophy to feuerbach), economic assumption and the relationship betweenlabor and value in political economy, and human beings’ realistic rights and theexploration on realizing human rights from the perspective of socialist ideology and soon. The second part expounds the main content of Marx’s human self-realizationthought. By over viewing Marx’s human self-realization thought (the main content,Marx’s understanding of human himself and its utilization, and the main idea of humanself-realization), this part demonstrates the process of human self-realization startingfrom realistic relationships (the relationship between realistic individuals and nature, realistic individuals and society, the general line of realistic individual self-realization)and the valid change of the way of human self-realization. Marx’s human self-realizationstems from the historical attach to the shackles from individual circumstance in reality.Hence human self-realization is reasonable in human nature. Human beings becomethemselves through practical actions. In the process of human self-realization, throughstimulating their own self-oriented nature and breaking alien restrictions, human beingscan finally realize self full and free development in the process of history. The third part deals with the content and formation process of Marx’s human self-realization thought. In this part we select several important topics of Marx’s discussion ofhuman self-realization from his youth to maturity. We follow the diachronic lead of hislife to tease the eight times discussion and twice thought of deepening process of humanself-realization. From synchronic perspective, we discuss the general principle and twoclues of his thought of human self-realization. One is realistic individuals’ inevitablerealization process to aim at full and free development and the other is realisticindividuals’ real living condition in certain relationships. And then reveals the followingcontent: the principle of Marx’s human self-realization, the relationship between realistichuman self-realization and the proletariat, the relationship between realistic human self-realization and alienated labor, the relationship between realistic human self-realizationand history of world, the relationship between human self-realization and realistic individuals living in certain social relationships and the relationship between human self-realization and the development of human. The fourth part discusses the current development of Marx’s human self-realization.During the post-Marx’s period, Western scholars had a discussion about Marx’s humanself-realization mainly according to Marx’s humanitarian thoughts, the eroticization ofalienation status and cause of human himself as well as the exploration on the possibleway of human self-realization in modern capitalist society. With the criticizing andanalyzing of modern capitalism, Western schorlars not only imagine new goals and waysof human self-realization, but also realize the furthur developmet of Marx’s human self-realization. They extend the scope of human self-realization and also provide a newperspective and theory resouces to show the future direction of modern society.
