The work and development of college instructors determines the pertinence and effectiveness of improving college students’political education. to improve college instructors’work as well as the quality and capability of their professional development, the system is essential. Based on Marxism, the thesis attempts to analyze the essence, origin, contents and development of the Chinese college instructor system from the perspective of institutional theory by means of materialist dialectics, survey, literature, comparative analysis and systematic analysis, which aims at solving these following three problems:first, why is there a need for the college instructor system? Second, what should be the contents of the college instructor system in China? Third, how is the college instructor system perfected? The thesis consists of introduction, five chapters and conclusion.The introduction makes a brief analysis of how the topic of this research is raised, its present research status, strategy and methods, and its key points, difficult points, and innovative points, thus laying a foundation for further research.Chapter1is to analyze the connotation of the college instructor system and the value of the research. Based on some interrelated conceptions to the system, it reveals the essence of the Chinese college instructor system:Class nature and practice of marxist philosophy.The system of University Counselors guidelines, norms, protection,excitation function And on the basis, it points out three aspects of the research value:to strengthen the construction of the college instructor group; to improve the effectiveness of college students’ political education; to enrich the theoretic resources of college political education.Chapter2explores the foundation of the Chinese college instructor system and its positive references. Its establishing foundation is analyzed in three ways including the Marx’s theory of all-round human development, and the numerous practices of college political education,the construction and perfection of the social system with Chinese Characteristics. At the same time, it analyzes the management of students’ affairs in America, Britain and Singapore in terms of its concepts, contents, manners and staff and uses it for positive reference.Chapter three analyzes the bases for the establishment of the Chinese college instructor system in terms of its goal, history, The main problems of College Counselors reality and policies. The goal of the construction of college instructor group is to realize professionalization, specialization and modernization.Chapter four studies the contents of the Chinese college instructor system mainly from two aspects:the substantial system and the procedural system. The substantial system focuses on the identity orientation, duty regulation, working rule and benefit security of college instructors. The procedural system consists of the allocation, selection, cultivation, employment and development of college instructors.Chapter five discusses the development of the Chinese college instructor system, mainly discusses the premise, path and the trend of the development of college instructor system.The Conclusion summarizes the main idea of the thesis and its value, pointing out the deficiency in the research so as to direct further research in this field.
