Life and education have natural relations. When life and education are facing so many problems currently, life education draws wide attention from theoretical and practical areas. But most of people just transplant, borrow and even copy Western theories on life and education to solve the problems in our country. The Western theories on life and education are culturally different, so it may not suitable to our special national situation and cultural soil and the phenomenon of acclimatization is inevitable. In addition, some education practices which are labeled life education lack the guidance from scientific and native life education theories. And these practices stay the concrete manipulative levels of experiences and practices and it is hard to achieve deep level of life and education. Therefore, a set of life theory which is suitable to our own native culture is very needed to guide life education practices in our country. Actually, in Chinese long history of traditional philosophy, resourceful thoughts on life and education are embedded. One of the Confucius classics,"Moderation" reveals rich and profound thoughts on life education. It shows the unique characteristic of thoughts on life education from the origin and end of life education, truth and principles, practical way and purpose, contents, processes and implementation strategies, which is of great values for reference and guidance.Firstly, the article elucidate the relationship between life and education in theory. About the nature of life, the article elucidate in detail from biology, sociology, philosophy, psychology, education and other disciplines angle. About the relationship between life and education, on the one hand, the article concludes that life is the origin and destination of education, From the starting point of speaking, education stems from the need of men’ lives; From the process perspective, education should respect the natural nature of life; From the fate of speaking, education should take life for the purpose of growth and development. On the other hand, education is an important way to achieve life, which mainly reflected in the education lead the development direction of life; education can provide the impetus for the sustainable development of life support; education can stimulate the potential development of of life and other aspects.Essences of life education in "Moderation" are now embodied in the "destiny of that nature, the whims of that road, mending the roads is teaching" three aspects of system logic and coherence."Sincerity Understanding" and "Understanding Sincerity" two purposes are consistent complementary, unified model between internal and external paths,"destiny of that nature," originally answered that the origin of life education in "moderation" is life;"whims of that road" embodies the laws of life education, and the aim of life education is to respect the inherent logic of the life development, activate the initiatives of intrinsic life, and show own natures of life;" Mending the roads is teaching" clarified "Sincerity Understanding Itself (intrinsically happening type),"Self Understanding Sincerity"(external fuse type),"One of Sincerity Understanding"(integration of the internal and external type), three interactions of life education practice mode.For the purpose of life education,"Moderation" reveals several meanings through "becoming the self and "becoming the object"; the individual aim of education is to develop, perfect and promote individual life, which is "becoming the self; the social aim of education is to achieve group life, which is "becoming the object"; the aim of education also includes promoting the harmonious development of individual life and group life together, which is a combination of "becoming the self and "becoming the object". The aim of life education is nor individual base nor social base; instead, it is consistency between individual values and social values."Respecting morality" and "finding principles of knowledge" have been the focus of numerous scholars in discussion of learning methodology. This paper explains the content of life education in "Moderation" in terms of contents. The first thing of the life education in "Moderation" is the "principle", which is the consistency between god and human, between natural knowledge and human knowledge, and closely related to the existence and development of human life. Then, the paper analyzes specially the contents of life education on "three morals","five principles" and "nine criteria" in "Moderation" from the perspectives of "morality" and "knowledge" and gain the "Moderation" thoughts on knowledge of "consistency between morality and knowledge"."The learned, the interrogation, the careful thoughts, the discernment, and the relentlessly resourceful" are embodies the process of "Moderation" life education. This paper specifically analyzes the essence, structure, and characteristics of life education process in "Moderation". In terms of process nature, the essence of life education process has the characteristics of diversity, multiplicity and integrated. It is a process including cognitive, affective, practical, and group composition as a whole. In terms of structure, it consists of five links, which are always generated and depend on each other and promote each other. It reflects life cognitive laws from perceptual knowledge to rational knowledge, then to practice. In terms of characteristics, the "Moderation" life education process embodies the characteristics of interaction between the internal and the external, respect the laws and interact, combination between cognition and affection, between cognition and deeds, and between individuals and groups. Finally, specific implementation strategies on life education in "Moderation" are discussed, e.g.,"enjoy oneself to the full","introspection","earning to learn","Action" and "Moderation"."Enjoy oneself to the full" means to explore, develop and play one’s life, which is a strategy to explore life, including strategies of "teaching students in accordance with their aptitudes" and "step by step"; strategies of "introspection" and "inner concentration" mean to feel life, pay attention to own experiences, and explore self-consciousness of life;"Earning to learn" means a strategy to inspire life, which demands to inspire students’ interests in study;"action" is a strategy to experience life;"Moderation" is a strategy to perfect life.Words in "Moderation" reflects strong life subjective consciousness, showing an entire set of educational theory system with own native characteristics.Systematic research in this paper aims to reveal mysterious veil of "Moderation" and explore significant values of thoughts on life education in "Moderation".
