Research On The BSA System And Applicability Based On International Framework Of Building Sustainability Assessment

Excessive consumption of natural energy and fossil energy causes world-wide crises of resources and environment.Sustainable development has become the basic principles of the current universal.Establishment of the sustainable development framework has generated fundamental impact to construction industry.Based on latest research and analysis data,building sustainability assessment has become the key research directions in the field of construction industry sustainability.In this paper,aiming at the issues of building sustainability assessment,such as related topics focused on building performance in the environmental field,the lack of research on the internationally accepted evaluation framework,etc.,based on the conception and measurement of sustainability development and exploring the structure and concept,building sustainability assessment system has been established,which possessed international adaptation and comparability.This article is divided into four parts:The first part was the research on the existing building sustainability assessment systems,including internationally building sustainability assessment framework and national level building sustainability assessment systems.The research contents covered the development process,application scope,assessment fields and items,reference weight and system characteristics,focusing on the effects of geographical feature,development status,design philosophy,technical system and construction related industries on the evaluation systems.The second part was the analysis of the existing building sustainability assessment systems.Based on the existing building sustainability assessment systems for comprehensive analysis and specialized analysis,comprehensive analysis included the analysis of the value-laden,effect factors,system features which incorporated the correlation,similarity and characteristic,and the relevance between the building sustainability assessment and city sustainability assessment.Specialized analysis included the assessment items and reference setting of environmental key indicators,as well as the relevant provisions in the social and the economic field.The third part was the establishment of the basic framework of BSA building sustainability assessment system.Based on the research contents of first two parts,BSA building sustainability assessment system had theoretical basis of sustainable development and objectives of reducing the environmental impact,improving energy efficiency and conserving resources,also gave consideration to the bearing capacity of resources and environment,the fairness of social culture,the rationality of economic development,the guidance of government policy and the advancement of technical systems.BSA building sustainability assessment system covered four fields about building sustainability,which were environment field,social field,economic field,and policy field.It also possessed clear principles and methods of constructing,hierarchy and components.By the setting of assessment items,measurement benchmark,weight system and assessment model,BSA building sustainability assessment system was established by taking dynamic development of temporal and adaption of space into account.The fourth part was the application and prospect of BSA building sustainability assessment system,which was applied to Exhibition Center of Council Housing Project in Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco City to demonstrate application and operability of BSA system.In addition,a discussion was conducted about how to improve,update and popularize building sustainability assessment system.
