The developments of public transportation systems are given priority to solve urban transportation problems.Various methods have been proposed to improve the reliability of transit operation,e.g.the implementation of dynamic bus dispatching strategies,the provision of real-time bus information for passengers.How to implement more than one method simultaneously is a challenge for the bus operation on common routes(several bus routes with some stops shared with each other).The relations among the implementation of bus dispatching strategy,the real-time bus information for passengers,the passengers' choices regarding the buses on the common routes for their destinations are analyzed firstly.Secondly,as for buses on the common routes for passengers' destinations,the way to make choices regarding these buses without real-time bus information is compared to that with real-time bus information.To describe the uncertainty in the perception about the real-time bus information,cloud model is adopted.Based on the cloud model,this paper proposes a new method to describe the passenger behaviour.Thirdly,considering the variable passenger choice regarding the buses for the destination,this paper proposes a dynamic bus dispatching model on the common routes with the real-time bus information.Lastly,this paper optimize whether the real-time information respectively related to the bus arriving time at each stop and related to the in-vehicle passenger load can be provided for passengers.Results show that the best scenario is that when various kinds of the real-time bus information are provided for passengers at the stops on the common routes.
