As the world's "sunrise industry", the cultural industry is a leading industry and strategic focus of the developed countries such as America. America is not only the world's cultural industry superpower, but also a cultural industry powers in the world. With the development of cultural industry and its deepening impact to the economic, America has gradually made a dominant position in the global culture industry. There has important practical significance for further enhancing the level of China's cultural industry's international competitiveness to study America.Cultural industry is one of the fastest growing and the largest sectors of the economy. Cultural industry, the construction and automobile industry constitute the three pillar industries of America, and it has made significant contribution in promoting the economic growth and increasing employment. Some cultural industry belong to information industry such as motion Picture industry, publishing industry, and music industry has bigger contribution and impact to the economic growth, and Arts, Entertainment, and Recreation industry's development potential has been improved. The prosperity of culture industry has also provided a broad employment market for the domestic labor. American culture industry has become the largest exports industry, and occupied the commanding heights of cultural industry international trade and international division of labor system.Using SWOT analysis method, this dissertation explores the deep-seated reasons of American culture industry developed and prosperous. The main advantage of American cultural industry is complete cultural industrial chain, sound intellectual property protection, diversified investment and financing mode, etc. Continuous innovation is strong motivation and source to promote American culture industry to dominate world, America's future sustainable cultural hegemony strategy may be a potential constraint that hinder cultural industry continue to expand. Digital technology and Internet's widely use in cultural industry has brought a new round of development opportunities for American culture industry, but at the same time, it also has provided growth space for piracy.In the new economic situation, how to protect the intellectual property rights of cultural products is one of the biggest challenges.This dissertation will compare The United States with Germany, France, Japan, China and Mexico through import and export data method. In the past few years, American culture industry export and international market share is the first, international competition comparative advantage is constantly reinforcing, and culture, entertainment services has also showed a strong competitiveness. From the perspective of all kinds of cultural industry, American movies enjoys an absolute advantage in global box office, among the six countries publishing industry's international competitiveness is at the leading level, digital music will be a potential bright spot to increase the competitiveness of America's music industry, radio and television industry has a strong influence in the world. Many factors have affected American cultural industry. Main factors include:free competition market environment, strict restriction copyright protection system, the huge domestic market scale, the development and innovation of science and technology, support of the associated industries, and American culture enterprise's powerful competitiveness, etc. Through further analysis, we draw the conclusion that the economic environment is the main factors, enterprise competitiveness in second place, and Policy factors has less influence.Based on the perspective of comparative analysis, this dissertation will study the international competitiveness of cultural industry and its influencing factors. The dissertation is divided into six parts:the first part is the introduction, mainly introduces the background and significance of topics, gives definition to some concepts of cultural industry, summarizes the existing research results, illustrates the research ideas and methods, and points out the innovation and shortage of the article. The second part is the theoretical part that is related to the industry international competitiveness. The third chapter analyses the economic contribution, position, and its Strength, weakness, opportunity and threat of American culture industry. The fourth Chapter analysis the international competitiveness of American cultural industry, and makes a preliminary forecast of the international competitiveness. The fifth chapter analysis the main factors influencing the international competitiveness of American culture industry, based on porter's "diamond model" theory, further demonstrates factors through empirical analysis. The sixth part is the main conclusion and revelation, draws lessons from the successful experience of American cultural industry, and gets the revelation to improve the international competitiveness of China's culture industry.
