Since 1990s,the Cultural Industry began to flourish in the major countries of Europe and the United States,and the promoting effect of its development to the national economy has becoming more and more apparent.With the accelerated process of globalization,the circulation of cultural products and services is no longer confined to a region or country,but the same as the traditional trade circulation in different countries and regions,such as Japanese animation,Korean entertainment,American film,and French fashion have become a renowned cultural phenomenon in the global scope.What different with ordinary commercial goods are that cultural goods and services have high spiritual value,symbolic value,social value,and so on,which have important impact on people's cultural ideas,habits,and social custom.Therefore,the promotion of the cultural trade level,not only plays an important role in promoting the economic development of a country,but also helps to import the cultural ideas and values of the region and the country into other countries and regions,which is particularly important in the increasingly fierce global competition.This paper focuses on the systematic study of the growth and structural problems about Chinese cultural trade.Specifically,the main contents of this paper include the following five aspects:(1)The current situation and evaluation of the development of Chinese cultural trade.This part will start from three aspects which are the development history,development status,and dependence measure.This part will mainly use the method of statistical analysis to vertically present and compare the general situation of the development of Chinese cultural trade,thus outline the development track of Chinese cultural trade over 10 years.(2)An analysis of the mechanism of cultural trade promoting China's economic growth.This part will use the method of general equilibrium analysis,starting from the perspective of cultural capital,and then analyze cultural capital and its spillover effect which can improve the cultural sector and non-cultural sector's production efficiency so as to promote regional economic growth,and carry on the numerical simulation.On this basis,the relationship between cultural trade and economic growth will be examined by Grainger causality test.(3)Analysis of Chinese cultural trade structure.This part will make a comprehensive measure about the current structure of Chinese cultural trade from the perspectives of the commodity structure,model structure and market structure,and then make a horizontal comparison among developed countries such as the United States and South Korea,so as to find the problems exist in the structure of Chinese cultural trade currently.(4)An analysis of the factors affecting the structure of Chinese cultural trade.This part will be based on the application of gravity model and static panel data analysis to identify the factors of the current structure of Chinese cultural trade.Taking into account that the cultural trade framework contains many subdivision categories and different regions has different conditions,this section will also put industry characteristics and regional characteristics into the research,and then make a comparative study on the above factors.(5)Analysis of homogenization effect of Chinese cultural trade.This part will use the method of directed graph to depict the network structure of cultural trade to recognize specialization effect and homogenization effect existing in cultural trade.And by introducing the stochastic exponential model,a social network analysis method,to test the existence of homogenization effect in Chinese culture service trade.Based on the research content of each chapter,four basic conclusions can be obtained here in this paper,summed up as follows:(1)Chinese cultural trade has developed rapidly in recent years,which effectively promoted the Chinese economic growth.The export and import of cultural trade are the Granger Cause of economic growth,while the economic growth is not the Granger Cause of the export and import of cultural trade.(2)The accumulation and diffusion of cultural capital is an important mechanism to improve Chinese economic growth in cultural trade.Cultural capital can promote regional economic growth through directly involving in the production progress of cultural sector and also through overflow effects which can improve the production efficiency of non-cultural sector.(3)Chinese cultural trade structure is not reasonable enough,the cultural products trade surplus is obvious and trade deficit of cultural services is serious,and that cultural services trade both in terms of scale and competitiveness are seriously lagging behind the cultural products trade.The cultural trade dependence shows an "inverted U" curve.(4)The factors affecting the Chinese cultural products trade is more complex,and shows great differences in subdivision industries and different regions.(5)From the point of network structure,there has the homogeneity in Chinese cultural service trade,which may destroy the local cultural ecology and the government should take protective measures on cultural trade to deal with the problems.The main innovations could be summarized as following:(1)compares and analyzes different cultural trade statistics,which serves as the theoretical basis for the selection of the frameword in this paper.(2)use the statistical framework of UNESCO(2009)and EBPOS(2002)to analyze the present situation and characteristics of Chinese cultural products and cultural services.(3)with an introduction of cultural capital from mico perspective,demonstrate how the cultural trade is to promote regional economic growth and proceed a numerical simulation.(4)based on the preference selection model,the traditional gravitational model is modified and taken as the main measurement model to test the influencing factors of Chinese cultural products export.(5)by using the directed map method,from the perspective of network structure,describes the cultural trade of professional effects and homogenization and explicits their differences.
