Party member is the key element of party. Party member to a party, as it is the national to a country. The quantity and quality of the national can affect the strength of a country, and the quantity and quality of the party members is also related to the rise and fall of a party. Quantity of party members is appearance, which is only a factor to reflect the power of the party, but the party member's quality is more important, which developed, well or badly, will be the decisive factor of the rise or fall of a party. And the self-identity of party members is the key to its quality, whether they have, which will affect their enthusiasm of service for party, the spirit of struggling for party interest and having common fate with party. If a person joins the party, especially the ruling party, he or she is only to know to enjoy the benefits of party status, but not to love their own status of party member, and to bear party's responsibility, to do dedication, even if they have great talent, high ability, which is only useless, even harmful to the whole party and it's career.Party membership self-identity is a internalized process from the psychological standard, norms, beliefs and value system to a part of their own thought system and personality, also a state of equilibrium of the party members' natural self and social self in emotion, consciousness.Party member's self-identity is developing and changing, and the state of equilibrium between the party members' natural self and social self is temporary, which will lead to fracture of the balance state, to the party members' ideological, political psychological change, and to the change of old mode of identity, or to identity problems, or to a higher identification.After China's reform and opening up, China's economy and society is changing sharply, especially in the coastal developed areas, which is also made a notable impact on the self-identification of party membership. The research of paper is developed centered on the party membership self-identity, and the way of the research is theory and practice, concrete and abstract, quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis, the concept and the combination of macro and micro methods. On the basis of the theory concept, the connotation, essence and its formation process, characteristics, ways and significance of party member self-identity, by the way of questionnaire and depth interview,the paper studied currently the overall condition of party membership identity of Fujian and Zhejiang provinces as the representative of developed economic regions, particularly the differences among different careers, probationary period, age and cultural levels, furthermore revealed its origin from its history,culture, social economy and their own organization. Thus, to explore the way to improve the party membership self-identity from multiple perspectives.This paper is divided into the following several parts:The introduction part:summarized and introduced the selected topic origin and value, research status quo and insufficiency, the research method and train of thought, the main innovation and research.The first chapter:revealed the concept and connotation of party member self-identity, and on the basis of thorough discussion party membership self-identity formation process, characteristics, ways and significance. In addition, produced from a qualified party member's standard, and the perspective of development and changes, combed the ideas of the classical writers of Marxism about party membership self-identity.The second chapter:summarized why chose Fujian and Zhejiang provinces as the research object, and introduced ways and means of the investigation and study, and portrayed the circumstances of self-identity of party members of different careers, different probationary period, party members with different levels of cultural identity the specific in Fujian and Zhejiang provinces by way of h questionnaire, depth interview and data statistics, statistical tables, charts.The third chapter:revealed the main problems of party membership self-identity through the results of data analysis and interview, and revealed the origin from the factors of history and culture, the factors of social transformation and party organization.The fourth chapter:explored the path of how to promote standard of party membership self-identity from the ideological and political work, culture self-confidence of party members, construction of party system, improvement of organization-management, and so on, upon the realistic national conditions in China.
