Guided by Marxist dialectical materialism and historical materialism, and based on the study of the ecological thoughts of Marxist classical writers, this paper uses the methods of logic and history, theory and practice, value criticism and scientific analysis, tries to sort out and extract the process and core content of the evolution of“ecological imperialism" theory through analyzing and inquiring to the theory and practice of "ecological imperialism".At the same time, this paper uses Marxist historical analysis and class analysis to study and criticize the "ecological imperialism",in order to enrich and develop the ecological theory of Marxism, and to clarify the fuzzy understanding and one-sided understanding of the nature of"ecological imperialism",so as to adhere to and improve Marxist ecological theory. This paper includes an introduction and five chapters. The introduction part mainly expounds the significance and purpose of this paper, analyzes and comments on the research status at home and abroad, introduces the main content and focus and difficult points of this paper. The first chapter is the logical starting point of the study of“ecological imperialism" theory,it analyzes the historical background, realistic reasons of the rise of "ecological imperialism" theory, and the theory's problem domain and study purpose. The theme of this chapter is the content of“ecological imperialism",the history and historical background and realistic reasons, and discusses how we should know the nature and characteristics of“ecological imperialism".The second to fourth chapters are the focus of this paper. The second chapter analyzes the ecological thoughts contained in the works of Marx,Engels,Lenin and other classical writers, and the ecological thoughts of other theorists,in order to facilitate more objective and systematic analysis and evaluation of "ecological imperialism".There are rich ecological ideas in the theoretical system of Marxist classical writers. For example,in Marxist view of nature, historical materialism, surplus value theory, monopoly theory, capitalist crisis theory, world history theory, world market theory and imperialism theory, are all shining with the radiance of ecological thoughts. At the same time,in the theory of many western theorists, there are also rich ecological thought resources, such as the imperialist theory of theorists in the Second International(Lafague,Hobson,Luxemburg, etc.),The imperialism theory of New Marxist theorists(Bernstein,Lukacs, etc.),and Wallenstein's World System Theory, the Dependency Theory, the New Imperialism, etc. The third chapter analyzes the theoretical views of the main scholars of“ecological imperialism" theory systematically, mainly discusses the status and role of“ecological imperialism",the analysis method, the main point of view, and analyzes the logical relationship among some“ecological imperialism" theories, and then analyzes its theoretical contribution and deficiencies from the perspective of Marxism. Then we analyze the viewpoints of the main scholars of“ecological imperialism".Crosby studied the infectious diseases from the perspective of environmental history, and pointed out that it is the expansion of Europe brought the formation of "ecological imperialism";Foster criticized the expansion of capital from the perspective of ecological morality, and considered that to eliminate the ecological crisis,we should give up the traditional values of“domination and plunder" and build new values of "harmony between man and nature, ecology and social justice";O' Connor's core idea is that there is a“symbiosis”between the capitalist economic crisis and ecological crisis, and we must ensure that Marxism occupies an important position;Pepper criticized the capitalist mode of production according to historical materialism, which caused the ecological crisis and led to"ecological imperialism" and consumption alienation;Grove studied the thought of world ecological environment protection;Ecological feminist scholars emphasize that humans need to be kind to nature, men need to be kind to women,in order to achieve ecological balance; The theory of climate imperialism holds that climate change has an important influence on national security and ecological balance of the world.Based on the "classical theory" and“typical thought”in the second chapter, the fourth chapter analyzes and criticizes the“ecological imperialism" in the Marxist view, focuses on the nature and its harm to the world of“ecological imperialism ".The analysis points out that, the "ecological imperialism" of western capitalist countries is the root of the global ecological crisis, and the pollution transferring or ecological aggression by the western capitalism countries intensifies the confrontation between man and nature, and further deepens the inequality of global development. The fifth chapter mainly explains the significance of "ecological imperialism”theory to the construction of ecological civilization in China.China is a large developing country, must always adhere to the guiding position of Marxism. In the construction of ecological civilization,China should adhere to the Marxist view of nature and historical materialism, draw on the reasonable composition of "ecological imperialism" theory, oppose "ecological imperialism",advocate a new international poliltical and economic order, promote social justice and ecological harmony, and establish socialist mode of production in order to protect the environment. The last part is the conclusion,it points out that the developing countries must recognize the serious harm caused by the“ecological imperialism" of the capitalist countries, and strengthen the response in recognition of their essence.
