A Study Of Rural Social And Cultural Changes In The Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region During The Yan'an Period

During the first half of the 20th century,China's rural social culture had been deeply impacted from European and American culture which was followed by the Western countries' colonial invasion.The study on rural social culture transformation in modern China was still an important academic area.The rural social cultural change in Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia border region happened under the background of the anti-Japanese national salvation movement,with harsh material conditions.During the Yan'an period,the rural cultural of Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia border region experienced huge change,which was led by the new democracy culture,deeply influenced by the Chinese traditional culture,with the coexistence of radicalism and conservatism,the worldlization and localization.Therefore,the study on the rural cultural change process of Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia border region not only enriched the academic area about modern China's rural social cultural change and Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia border region society,but also offered the experiences for China's rural cultural construction in social transition period.The paper studied on the rural cultural change process of Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia border region during Yan'an period,taking the approaches and viewpoints of Marxism theory,presenting the historical prospect completely,exploring the change background,features and reason,summarizing the helpful experiences.There were three parts.The conclusion part introduced the research significance,situations,suppositions and so on.The main part contained five chapters.The second chapter:The background of the rural social culture change in Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia border.This chapter introduced the physical geography conditions,ecological environment,economy,political powers,conventions and education in Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia border region.The third chapter:The main contents of the rural social culture change in Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia border region.This chapter described the rural social culture change contents from four aspects.About the marriage culture change,the pursuit of independent marriage became mainstream,breaking the traditional marriage concept,with civilized and concise wedding form.The family culture change mainly included the family system change,the family structure change and family religious change.The women culture change contained the rise of rural women education movement,participation in social activities,and the abolition of tradition indignity suppressing women.The folk entertainment culture change included the reform of entertainment cultural form and the development of entertainment cultural organization.The fourth chapter:The features of the rural culture change in Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia border region.During the rural culture change process,presented the fusion of traditional culture and modern culture,the permeation of national culture and democratic culture,the interaction of intellectual elites and peasants.The fifth chapter:The reason of the rural culture change in Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia border region.This chapter analyzed the change reason from rural social economy and politics aspects.Besides,CCP's ideology influence was also an important factor.The sixth chapter:The experiences of the rural culture change in Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia border region.This chapter summarized the change experience from 5 points.Firstly,Chinese rural social culture construction should be led by the CCP's advanced culture.Secondly,Chinese rural social culture construction should be based on Chinese rural traditional culture.Thirdly,Chinese rural social culture construction should on the premise of economic and political development.Fourthly,the peasants should be the main force in Chinese rural social culture construction.Fifthly,the cultural organizations should be the driving force in Chinese rural social culture construction.The conclusion part made a brief summary.
