Vigorous development of higher vocational education is an important measure to enhance the competitiveness of the country,and the construction of teaching staff is the key link in the development of higher vocational education.Since the new century,China's higher vocational education has entered the stage of connotation development,and professional qualities of "double-competency" teacher in higher vocational education colleges are related to the quality promotion of higher vocational education colleges,and are related to the quality of high skilled personnel training.At present professional qualities of "double-competency" teachers in higher vocational education colleges are more in name than in reality,therefor they restrict the development of higher vocational education colleges,and then influence the connotation promotion of higher vocational education.At last they seriously restrict the improvement of teaching quality and the further development of education reform,and the promotion of China's talent competitiveness.This study mainly addresses the issue of professional qualities of"double-competency" teachers in higher vocational education colleges,and with the guidance of theory model of professional qualities of "double-competency" teachers,the author made questionnaire and interview outline.Then the author drawed such provinces as Guangdong Province,Shandong Province,Jiangsu Province,Liaoning Province,and Tianjin,and so on.And the author carried out investigating and interview.The questionnaire is divided into two parts,one is about basic situatin of "double-competency" teachers,the other is main part,it is about recognize and proposal on professional qualities of"double-competency" teachers that responders drawed up,including forty questions.The author interviewed some teachers from Business English Specialty,Computer Net Technology Specialty,Applied Electronics Specialty,and Are Layout Specialty,etc.Interview outline includes 17 questions.This dissertation is composed of five segments:The introduction part,author describes the basis of this study's topic.The basis includes four aspects.The first one is that vigorous development of higher vocational education is an important measure to enhance the competitiveness of the country,and the construction of teaching staff is the key link in the development of higher vocational education;the third one is that promotion of professional qualities of"double-competency" teachers is the key factor of connotations development higher vocational education;however professional qualities of "double-competency" teachers in higher vocational education colleges are more in name than in reality.Then author clarify aims and significances of the research.We will solve the practical problems faced by the teaching staff construction,and explain and expand the theory of teacher professional development in vocational education through the research.In the introduction part,there are review literatures about the study of professional qualities of "double-competency" teachers in our country.Author cards related documents on the researth about professional qualities of "double-competency" teachers.The development process of the researth about professional qualities of"double-competency" teachers has been listed three phases,and they are embryonic stage,initial stage and development stage.then author sums up the study features about professional qualities of"double-competency" teachers in our country.And author puts forward problems on the study about professional qualities of "double-competency" teachers.At last author expounds researth content,and describes researth emphasis.At the same time the author presents researth difficulties and researth innovations.Of course researth methods,thinking route and researth schedule are mentioned.The first chapter,auther determines an analyzation that higher vocational education is distinct from general higher education and secondary vocational education,which we can conclude from training targets of higher vocational education,teaching characteristics,curriculum features,students' characteristics,and so on.Author explains that "double-competency" teacher occupation of higher vocational education colleges is one profession.Author not only explains professionalism of "double-competency" teachers,but also constructs static structural model of "double-competency" teachers of higher vocational education colleges.In the structural model there are high professional ethics,strong educational philosophy,rich expertise,superb professional competence,and high-quality professional services.The second chapter,author surveys status quo of the professional qualities of "double-competency" teachers in our country through empirical investigation,and displays the status quo of the professional qualities of "double-competency" teachers,the status quo includes the following four aspects:1.Professional ethics of"double-competency" teachers is weak;2.Educational philosophy of"double-competency" teachers is not advanced enough:3.Expertise of"double-competency" teachers is not reasonable;4.Professional services of "double-competency" teachers are not enough.The third chapter,author explores the reasons of low professional qualities of "double-competency" teachers in higher vocational education colleges.According to the survey results of the second chapter,author inducts problems on policies in our country,system,higher vocational education colleges itself,and author analyzes the reasons deeply.The reasons include missing of teacher professional standard of higher vocational education colleges,being unperfect of teacher professional development system of higher vocational education colleges,being insufficient of pre-employment cultivating,own reasons of higher vocational education colleges,and "double-competency"teachers themselves reasons,and so on.The fouth chapter,author discusses strategies about promoting professional qualities of "double-competency" teachers in higher vocational education colleges.This study puts forward such stratigies as constructing "double-competency" teachers professional standard consistent with the characteristics,constructing teacher professional development system of higher vocational education colleges,being perfect pre-employment cultivating system of "double-competency" teach-ers in higher vocational education colleges;cultivating teachers in higher vocational education colleges by school-enterprise cooperation;teachers seeking self-updatingand promotionin higher vocational education colleges.
