The secondary school research is the logical starting point of the university research.So,it is always attached great importance.In recent years,the trend of the separation of the power in the society and universities,especially research universities,is becoming more and more obvious.Then the relationships in the university governance are changing.And the concept of governance enters the field of Chinese universities and even the secondary schools gradually.Then the reform of the secondary school management system is rising and deepening gradually.And these bring new and severe tests to the internal governance of the secondary schools.In order to further improve the internal governance systems of the secondary schools in research universities,to maximize the mobilization of their enthusiasm for running the schools,to promote the construction of world-class universities and disciplines,this study combines the theoretical research with the empirical research,and combines the qualitative research with the quantitative research.We do this research by using the method of literature research,the method of comparative study,the qualitative research method of grounded theory and the method of q uantitative research.What's more,we start this study by combining the perspective of "structure" with the perspective of "culture".And the ultimate goal of this study is to realize the good internal governance of the secondary schools by the co-governance of stakeholders.First of all,based on the analysis of relevant research at home and abroad,we define the object of this study by defining the concepts of "governance","the research university","the secondary school" and "the internal governance of the secondary school in the research university".Then we analyze the theoretical bases of this study – the theory of higher education,the theory of governance,the theory of organization and the applicability.Then we introduce the main academic organizations in foreign universities.We introduce the internal governance in five countries' universities and schools such as France,the United K ingdom,Germany,the United States of America and Japan.And we summarize six experiences.Then we summarize the seven stages of the historical changes of the management systems of the secondary schools in C hinese universities.And we explore reforms of Chinese research universities and the expansion of the responsibilities of the secondary schools in C hinese research universities under the trend of the separation of the power.We analyze five kinds of the power and their subjects of the power and their sources of the power behind the responsibilities of the secondary schools in C hinese research universities.Five kinds of the power are the political power,the administrative power,the academic power,the democratic power and the student power.Then we point out the problems in the internal governance of the secondary schools in C hinese research universities at the present stage from four aspects.In order to excavate the root causes of the different modes of the internal governance of foreign universities and their schools,to excavate the root causes of the different modes of the management systems of C hinese universities and their secondary schools in different historical periods,to fundamentally solve the serious problems in the internal governance of the secondary universities in C hinese research universities,we explore the influencing factors of the internal governance of the secondary schools in research universities.On one hand,we explore the influencing factors through the three-level code by using the qualitative research method of grounded theory.And we construct the model of the influencing factors of the internal governance of the secondary schools in research universities preliminarily.Using the two concepts of "stakeholder" and "act or",we conceive the relationships between the factors in the model.And we put forward the assumptions.On the other hand,we use the quantitative research method of questionnaire to test the model by descriptive statistical analysis,reliability and validity analysis and structural equation model analysis.And we analyze the influencing factors,their dimensions,the influencing mechanisms and their effects of the internal governance of the secondary schools in research universities.And we further improve this model which also named "five-pointed star model".Then we put forward five suggestions.For example,the strategy of the actors: we need try our best to establish the "five in one" multi-agent co-governance;the strategy of the environment: we need try our best to create a good external environment for the internal governance;the strategy of the objectives: we need try our best to adhere to the concept of good governance,to stick to the principle of SMART,to build the objectives of the secondary schools properly;the strategy of the structure: we need try our best to improve the internal governance structure through the top design,business restructuring and process reengineering;the strategy of the resources: we need try our best to strengthen the acquisition,allocation and conversion of resources legitimately.
