Facing the complex information society, especially information overload coexisting with information insufficiency, accumulating information redundancy and increasing information pressure, all of these bring great challenges to information management and utilization. For individuals, good information management can save time and improve the efficiency of study and work. Personal information management rises in response to the proper time and conditions. It is particularly important to scientific researchers with a highly degree of knowledge dependence and cooperative work to manage and organize complicated academic information resources effectively, for the purpose of carrying out academic research activities in the future successfully and upgrading their academic innovation and competitiveness in the digital academic environment. For designing personal academic information management tools and carrying out efficient academic information services, it is a prerequisite to study on personal academic information management behavior of scientific researchers. This study chooses personal academic information management behavior of scientific researchers as the subject, investigates into the occurrence cause, manifestation, characteristics and influencing factors of behavior. It provides a reliable theoretical basis for improving utilization of academic information and work efficiency, accelerating knowledge application and innovation, carrying out personalized academic information service and developing personal academic information management tools.The structure of the paper is divided into introduction and eight parts of main body.The introduction section mainly introduces the research background and significance, research status at home and abroad, the research objectives, content, ideas, methods, characteristics and innovation points.The first chapter is the theoretical basis of the study. This chapter formulates attribution theory, qualitative research and grounded theory, behavior theory and information behavior models. Based on attribution theory, influencing factors of personal academic information management behavior of scientific researchers are divided into internal and external factors. Grounded theory is used to analyze and code the in-depth interview data so as to construct the theoretical model. Behavior theory and information behavior models lay the theoretical foundation for the construction influencing factors model of personal academic information management behavior of scientific researchers.The second chapter elaborates and analyzes the pattern of manifestation of academic information behavior and personal academic information management behavior of scientific researchers, which involves the basic concepts of this study.The third chapter elaborates research procedure and design based on grounded theory, and analyzes the in-depth interview data according to open coding, axial coding and selective coding.The fourth chapter is theoretical construction of influencing factors of personal academic information management behavior of scientific researchers on the basis of the result formed by selective coding, which illustrates the theoretical framework from four levels including individual factor, context factor, information factor and personal attitude.The fifth chapter is the construction of influencing factors conceptual model of personal academic information management behavior of scientific researchers based on the current literatures and the above qualitative research conclusion, puts forward the theoretical hypothesis and further explicates the relationships among the latent variables.The sixth chapter tests reliability, validity and theoretical hypothesis of the conceptual model with SPSS 19.0 and AMOS7.0, analyzes and discusses the relationships and path coefficient among the variables, and discovers the key influencing factors of personal academic information management behavior of scientific researchers.The seventh chapter analyzes the current use of academic information management tools, and proposes design ideas considering the needs of scientific researchers.The eighth chapter gives some conclusions, theoretical and practical values of the dissertation. The disadvantages are reflected. The future research is prospected.The discussion of the implications for both theory and practice are as follows:Firstly, personal academic information management is the process of managing the digital academic information controlled or owned by ourselves, including keeping activities, organizing and maintaining activities and re-finding activities. The essence of personal academic information management is to integrate academic information, improve information literacy, perfect professional knowledge system of scientific researchers, so as to promote working efficiency and individual competitiveness.Secondly, the influencing factors of personal academic information management behavior of scientific researchers include individual factor, context factor, information factor and personal attitude based on grounded theory research. Individual factor is the internal factor which affects attitude and behavior intention of scientific researchers. Context factor has a direct impact on personal attitude and academic information management behavior of scientific researchers. Attitude is the mediation of behavior, behavior is the external manifestation of attitude. Personal attitude and information factor influence keeping, organizing, maintaining and re-finding activities of academic information of scientific researchers.Thirdly, personal attitude is the most important factor according to the empirical research of influencing factors conceptual model of personal academic information management behavior of scientific researchers. Perceived consequences and personal habit of scientific researchers are the major factors which affect personal attitude. Perceived consequences, personal habit, facilitating conditions and self-efficiency are the major factors which affect personal academic information management behavior intention.Fourthly, in order to aid scientific researchers to manage their academic information effectively, the design of personal academic information management tools should further meet the researchers' inner needs. The design and development of the tool should follow the ideas below. Ease of use is the first principle, academic information organization structure diversification, search query function improvement with information contextual search, academic information synchronization among different terminals, individualized design meet with personal habit, academic information multidimensional description and standard organization, academic information semantic integration, and scientific research cooperation supported.
