Research On The Synergy Effect Between Industrial Clusters And Urban Agglomeration Development

In the process of promoting the new urbanization of China,as the main part of promoting,the "urban agglomeration" has become one focus of the academic research.The Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration is one of the most dynamic economic,open and innovative region in China.To create a number of advanced industrial cluster in the international scale and level is an important breakthrough in building a world-class city cluster in the Yangtze River Delta.How to deal with the relationship between industrialization and urbanization and promotion of the integration of the city and industry in the development of Yangtze River Delta is a key issue to study.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the synergistic relationship between urban agglomeration and manufacturing cluster.This dissertation tries to establish a theoretical framework of the synergistic analysis of the development of industrial cluster and urban agglomeration,and analyses the capability of industrial clusters in the Yangtze River Delta urban space on the basis of the analysis of the current situation of the Yangtze River Delta urban space and industrial layout,and puts forwards to the relationship between the development of industrial cluster and urban space.To make a further measurement of the number of synergistic effect of the industrial cluster and the urban agglomeration in Yangtze River Delta through the mathematical model and the spatial econometric model,to conclude:the urban development level of the Yangtze River Delta depends on the ability and the degree of the industrial agglomeration.There is the effect of industrialization to promote urbanization in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration.Finally,through the analysis of the global experience from developed urban agglomeration,to make a conclusion of the development of the industrial cluster and urban agglomeration in the Yangtze River Delta,which could be learned and used for reference.The dissertation consists of five parts with seven chapters:The first part is the starting point and foundation of this dissertation,including first and second chapters,which makes a literature reviews of the industrial cluster and urban agglomeration as well as the synergistic effect between both,and put forward the theoretical framework and research paradigm study on the synergistic effects of this dissertation;The second part,analyzes the current situation of the urban and industry layout and the capacity of the industry cluster in the Yangtze River Delta,including the third,fourth chapter,on the basis of status study of urban space and industrial layout in the Yangtze River Delta,to construct an analysis index system of the capacity of industry cluster in the urban space in Yangtze River Delta,and the describe the characteristics of capacity layout of industry cluster according to the comprehensive analysis of spatial and cluster capacity results;The third part,the empirical analysis of the synergistic effect between industrial clusters and the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration,including the fifth chapter,through three models of synergy measure of industrial cluster and urban agglomeration,and on this basis to establish the spatial econometric models of the agglomeration and growth,to conclude the influence of the industrial agglomeration on the economic growth of urban agglomeration.The fourth part,the international experience,including the sixth chapter,through the analysis of the development of three world-class urban agglomerations and industry cluster to conclude the experience.The fifth part is the conclusion and research prospect,including the seventh chapters.The first chapter is introduction.Firstly,elaborating the background and purpose of this research.Under the background of the new urbanization,it is of great practical significance and urgency to study the synergistic relationship between urban agglomeration and industrial clusters.Meanwhile,it is of great theoretical significance to study the agglomeration of economic activities,the growth of regional economy,the relationship between agglomeration of economic activities and the growth of regional economy from geographical perspective and industrial perspective.Secondly,this dissertation expounds the research ideas,main content and research methods.Finally,this dissertation expounds the possible innovation and shortcomings of this paper.The second chapter is literature review and theoretical research framework.In the literature review part,the basic concepts and theories of this research are reviewed in order to determine the research perspective and focus.Firstly,summarizes the theoretical basis of industrial clusters,explains the formation mechanism and internal mechanism of industrial clusters,and explores the dynamic factors and evolution upgrade of industrial clusters.Secondly,the concept,connotation,formation mechanism and impetus of urban agglomeration are analyzed,and the influence of the functional mechanism of urban agglomeration spatial evolution on urban function layout is also expounded.Finally,the research on synergistic effect between industrial cluster and urban agglomeration is summarized.The theoretical framework focuses on the effects of industrial space and geographical space,industry synergy and urban synergy derived from agglomeration and growth.The third chapter is about the urban space and industry layout of the Yangtze River Delta.The development status of the Yangtze River Delta cities from three aspects of population,space and transportation,industry is analyzed,and the industrial cluster development situation is studied in two aspects of agglomeration&carrying capacity,cluster location in Yangtze River Delta,then summarizes the main problems faced by industrial cluster and urban agglomeration development.The fourth chapter consists the analysis of the industrial cluster capability of urban space in the Yangtze River Delta.Starting from the three stages of vertical division of three links industrial chain,research,manufacture and sale,and establishing the capacity analysis index system of industry cluster in the urban space,whose conclusion leads to a comprehensive analysis of space and agglomeration in order to an unbalanced layout feature of the distribution of industrial cluster in Yangtze River Delta,which shows "one core,two belts and three rings".The fifth chapter is the measurement and spatial econometric analysis of industrial cluster and urban agglomeration synergy in the Yangtze River Delta.The synergetic measure mainly uses the model of urban flow intensity,the model of fracture point and the model of economic connection intensity to measure the amount of external functions and connections of 26 prefecture level cities in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration,as well as the influence and spillover of industry,transportation,information and human resources on the surrounding cities.Spatial econometric analysis is an analysis for the relationship between economic growth of urban agglomeration and industrial cluster(the degree of industrial agglomeration as the representative),to determine the development standard of urban agglomeration depends on the capacity of industry agglomeration,the agglomeration degree of manufacturing industry has a positive impact on the level of regional economic growth in the Yangtze River Delta,and the producer services show a negative influence,and the force is not significant.The level of urban development depends on the capacity and standard of the degree of industrial agglomeration.The sixth chapter is about the international experience of cluster development of"urban-industry".This chapter starts from the urban agglomeration on northeast coast of the Atlantic,urban agglomeration on the Pacific coast surrounding Tokyo as the core,and the urban agglomeration of the northwest Europe,which represent as three world-class industrial cluster and urban agglomerations.It analyzes the division of labor and the urban function of the core cities,researches the spatial distribution and industrialtype of industrial clusters.It summarizes the development experience of the developed urban agglomerations and their industrial clusters:1.the industrialization promotes urbanization in all three cases;2.the division of labor and synergy of industrial clusters is beyond the urban boundary.The seventh chapter is the conclusion and prospect.The main conclusions of this paper include:1.The synergistic spatial relationship has not been established between urban agglomeration and the capacity distribution of industrial cluster in Yangtze River Delta;2.The development of industrial clusters and urban agglomerations in the Yangtze River Delta is unbalanced in space;3.The urban development of the Yangtze River Delta depends on the capacity of industrial agglomeration,especially of manufacturing agglomeration;4.The development of industrial clusters in the Yangtze River delta needs to break the boundaries of urban space;5.The prospective development of the urban agglomeration of Yangtze River Delta should pay more attention to the promotion of industrialization to urbanization.The possible innovations of this dissertation include:1.Based on the agglomeration and development of the core theory of spatial economics,new economic geography,this dissertation establishes a basic theoretical framework of synergistic effective analysis of the urban agglomeration and the industrial cluster.2.From the perspective of vertical division of the industrial chain,to establish the capacity analysis index system of industry cluster in the Yangtze River Delta,and makes a conclusion of an unbalanced layout feature of the distribution of industrial cluster in Yangtze River Delta,which shows "one core,two belts and three rings"according to a comprehensive analysis of space and agglomeration based on the result of index factor analysis.Furthermore,the spatial and Industrial Synergistic location,the industrial spatial influence,the key industrial cluster or agglomeration region,the synergy of urban agglomeration and the industrial cluster of the 26 prefecture level cities are comprehensively analyzed.3.Relatively scientifically,the synergistic effects of industrial clusters and urban agglomerations are measured.This dissertation combines the traditional regional economic related model of urban flow intensity,the model of fracture point and the model of economic connection intensity,with the model of spatial panel measure model with full consideration of spatial effects,from the basic effect measurement to the urban agglomeration economic growth,the spatial effect measurement of industrial agglomeration,and the spatial model estimation of industrial agglomeration and economic growth,to make a comprehensive analysis of the synergistic effect between urban agglomeration and industrial cluster in the Yangtze River Delta,and the relationship and restriction of industrial synergy and spatial synergy are further analyzed.4.The empirical analysis of agglomeration for growth proves that industrialization could promote urbanization,and provides further countermeasures and suggestions for the development of urban agglomeration of Yangtze River delta.The local government should pay more attention to the promotion influence of manufacturing industry cluster on the regional economic growth in the Yangtze River Delta,the development of manufacturing industry in the value chain in the region,could help for the formation of industrial organization for the integration of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration.Meanwhile,the rational distribution of producer services clusters should be actively guided in the Yangtze River Delta.Within some fusion in the Chinese rapid urbanization process such as "ghost city"," empty city" phenomenon,it is an important way for Chinese industrial parks and new districts to stride through industrial clusters to promote the urbanization and further balance the relationship between work and living.
