Industrial Agglomeration Development Pattern Research In Poverty-stricken Areas With The Perspective Of Global Value Chain

With the accelerating development background of the economic globalization and regional economic integration,the industrial agglomeration,with its unique advantages to become an effective way to accelerate the regional economic development,but the mainstream of current industrial agglomeration theory research mostly from developed regions,for the development of poor areas still lack of systematic discuss,and poor areas is more important to the development of regional economy coordination development.Therefore,from the view of the poor areas study industry agglomeration development is more urgent.Firstly,on the premise of expounding the theories related to poverty standards and industrial agglomeration and according to Michael Porter diamond model theory,the dissertation analyzes the industrial development in poverty-stricken area under the global value chain from six dimensions,namely Chance,Factor conditions,Firm strategy,structure and rivalry,Related and supporting industries,Demand conditions and Government.The analysis in different dimensions show that the key factors to get rid of poverty in poverty-stricken area are accelerating industrial agglomeration in poverty-stricken area,integrating into the global value chain by virtue of the opportunities of economic globalization and changes in global market competition pattern,and under the supporting policy of the government establishing poverty alleviation and development,and driving the policy support of industrial development in poverty-stricken area.Afterwards,the dissertation constructed coupling model of disadvantages in poverty-stricken areas and industrial agglomeration advantages,and expounded analysis network of industrial agglomeration for the interactive perspective of the chain network in poverty-stricken areas taking advantage of the chain network interaction mechanism theory combining the global value chain and regional innovation network.The paper takes use of complicated adaptation system theory to analyze the application of industrial agglomeration and global value chain in poverty-stricken areas,and show industrial agglomeration development model is the effective channel to achieve a great-leap-forward development in poverty-stricken area.Secondly,this dissertation analyzes the staged features of industrial agglomeration development in poverty-stricken area,taking the work in poverty alleviation and development in 576 countries(1990-2013)as an example.The conclusions show the poverty-stricken area in China gives priority to industrial agglomeration in agriculture before 2005 and in industry and the service industry after 2005,and industrial agglomeration in agriculture is decreased to some extent.The paper takes the county-level panel date and Eviews software to empirically inspect a series of important problems,such as when the industrial agglomeration acts on the resident income;how the industrial agglomeration changes the economic difference degree in different regions,etc.The conclusions show that the industrial agglomeration in poverty-stricken areas has a positive effect on the residential income,and the income growth effect of industrial agglomeration presents obvious regional divergence.At the same time,the bi-directional Granger causality exists between the industrial agglomeration and resident income in poverty-stricken areas,namely the industrial agglomeration in poverty-stricken areas has an effect on the increase of resident income level.The paper uses Stata software to conduct empirical analysis on the industrial agglomeration and poverty relief under the global value chain.Considering from two aspects(bringing in and going out)of global value chain,the paper draws a conclusion that the interaction between participating in global value chain and industrial agglomeration has an obvious promotion effect on the average per-capita income in poverty-stricken areas and it may solve the poverty relief problems in poverty-stricken area.Thirdly,this dissertation further studies the industrial agglomeration development model in poverty-stricken areas referring to the historical experience of industrial agglomeration development in poverty-stricken area in America and Bijie of Guizhou.Taking Puyang County in Henan Province as an example,the paper constructs a structural equation model for case analysis and inspects the influence of industrial agglomeration and global value chain on poverty relief in poverty-stricken areas.The paper conducts investigations and surveys in the form of questionnaire aimed at the development of several industries.In quantitative analysis,ANP methods and SD software are used to preliminary test the research model;SPSS software and AMOS software are used to conduct statistical analysis of the data of questionnaire inquiry.The results show that the industrial agglomeration participating in global value chain creates strongest effect on poverty relief in poverty-stricken areas.The paper analyzes the influence factors of industrial agglomeration development model in poverty-stricken area from three aspects of learning ability,communication share ability and evolution and integration ability.On this basis,the paper summarizes three models of industrial development in poverty-stricken area: element agglomeration development model on the basis of town construction and characteristic advantageous resources;enterprise agglomeration development model on the basis of development in industrial park and driving by leading enterprises;industrial agglomeration development model on the basis of bringing in foreign investment and going out.Finally,this dissertation presents the countermeasures and suggestions to promote industrial agglomeration development aiming at the problems existing in industrial agglomeration development process from the perspective of global value chain in poverty-stricken areas.Firstly,based on Porter competitive advantage theory,the paper determines the industrial agglomeration development strategy in poverty-stricken area is keeping cooperativity,extruding differentiation,cultivating cost leadership and promoting centralization.Secondly,change the position of industrial agglomeration in global chain value,target the increment of value in low-end link,get the opportunity to high-end line,cultivate the cooperation force with international buyers and transnational enterprises,build effective technical and intellectual property system and improve contractual environment.Thirdly,improve industrial agglomeration innovation ability and development ability in poverty-stricken areas,attract backflow of foreign capital and human capital,and enhance the research and development strength of the universities and scientific research institutes to the industrial agglomeration in poverty-stricken areas.Fourthly,improve the relevance of industrial agglomeration via government or industry guild.Fifthly,seek for the transnational cooperators and promote expansion ability of international market.Sixthly,develop characteristic industrial agglomeration in poverty-stricken areas,according to the circumstances.
