Since reform and opening up, the rapid economic development and accelerating of urbanization, industrial structure adjustment induction of floating population in Beijing. At the same time, the economic development in Beijing traffic congestion problems resulting from economic agglomeration are growing up. Beijing day average daily traffic index in moderate congestion a total of61days,2012.late peak traffic index in moderate congestion was82days. So the problem of traffic congestion is urgently needed to solve, economic agglomeration can change urban spatial structure, the change of urban spatial structure will bring in new traffic demand. Thus from the perspective of economic agglomeration to analyze the urban traffic demand is meaningful. The theoretical basis in this paper is industry economics, economic geography, urban economics and spatial economics. First of all, analyzing relationship between urban spatial structure and traffic demand from the domestic and foreign research, analyzed which role of the urban spatial in the impact on the traffic demand of urban spatial structure. Secondly, based on the micro perspective of individual behavior, qualitative analysis the economic agglomeration affects Trips, the spatial distribution of the travel and the travel mode. Then, through the foreign typical cities such as New York, Tokyo and London’s research, analyzing the influence of foreign economic agglomeration of traffic demand, and draw lessons from foreign what measures are taken to solve traffic congestion of the problems of agglomeration. Finally, with Beijing as empirical research object, analyzing the present situation and problems of urban traffic in Beijing. Then, with Beijing as empirical research object, to analyzing the present situation and problems of urban traffic and economic agglomeration, using the grey correlation analysis model, analyzing economic agglomeration degree of urban traffic demand of four major function areas in Beijing. The empirical results show that the influence on the motor vehicle ownership is the density of each functional area economy, affecting the trips and proportion of the population density is public transportation way. Finally, through establish the grey forecast model, it is concluded that the future of Beijing motor vehicle ownership, trips and the proportion of the way of public transportation travel will increase. according to Beijing’s traffic jams, giving two Suggestions:one is without changing the urban spatial structure change supply, on the basis of developing public transport; second, under the condition of without changing the transportation supply suggest establishing new city center.
