Research On Production Behavior And Influencing Factors Of Rice Farmers In Heilongjiang Province

Grain issue is closely related with social harmony,political stability and sustainable economic development of our country.As the most populous country,grain security issue in China is of great importance in the international grain security system,which made the grain security issue a key objective in China's agricultural development.The rice is very important in our country grain product,and it is an important guarantee of grain self-sufficiency.Farmers engaging in rice production close to 50% of the total number of farmers.The production behavior of rice growers directly determines the rice yield and international competitiveness.At present,the agricultural infrastructure of our country is relatively weak,meanwhile the ability of farmers to withstand natural disasters is weak,which make rice production face unstable yields.These external factors influence rice yield by affecting farmers' production behaviors,which effect the rice yield.Now the state has adopted a series of preferential agricultural policies and it has improved the enthusiasm of rice growers production to a certain extent.But the national policy support is not enough to stimulate the enthusiasm of rice growers production and operation,but also we should analyze the behavior of rice growers from the micro farmers,including the decision-making behavior of planting,the application of technology and the behavior of labor resources,and grasp the rules of rice farmers' production behavior.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to optimize the production behavior of rice growers,improve the yield of rice and increase the income of farmers and to study the factors influencing the production behavior of rice growers in Heilongjiang Province under the background of grain security and farmers' income increasing.The main purpose of this study is to reveal the preference of rice farmers production behavior,determine the influencing factors of peasant household production behavior,by analyzing the behavior characteristics of ordinary and large rice growers in heilongjiang province,also to put forward policy suggestions for the government and rice growers to optimize their production behaviors.This paper constructs the theoretical analysis framework of the production behavior of rice growers in heilongjiang province by referencing to related literature of the existing research results and using the survey data of rice farmers in heilongjiang province base on the theory of behavioral economics,supply-demand,farmer behavior and economic man hypothesis and the methods of survey research,qualitative analysis and Logit model analysis.The paper empirically analyses the influencing factors of production behavior decision of rice farmers in different scales,and reveals the characteristics,problems and influence factors of behavior selection for various kinds of production behaviors,based on the definition of rice farmers production behavior related concepts and teasing the main content of the related theory and the production behavior research.Finally,some several policy suggestions are putted forward according to the research conclusion.The research conclusions are as follows:First of all,Statistical analysis showed that heilongjiang province as China's largest production base of japonica rice has made a great breakthrough in the rice planting area and yield,which is in the forefront of the country rice production in the growth rate both of sheer area and the planting scale.The volatility changes and its influencing factors of rice yield and planting area are affected by the production behavioral decision of rice farmers.Second,this study shows that the there are some differences in behavior of operating capital invest,planting decision,technology application and labor resource arrangement between the ordinary and large rice growers through qualitative discussion and statistical analysis of the production behavior of them in heilongjiang province.The size of the rice paddies is concentrated between 50 and 80 acres of large rice growers,and they acquire land mostly through transferring and by contract,who prefer to expand production scale,adopt advanced technology,undertake scale production,pursue profit maximization.In contrast,ordinary rice farmers own small land area,and not easy to accept new technology,as well as not focus on the production.Mean well,the produce behavior of ordinary rice farmers has existed some common problems,mainly about utilitarian,lacking of initiative,concurrent-business.Third,the study shows that production behavior of rice farmers in heilongjiang province is a rational behavior based on the characteristics of themselves.For the object of pursuit of income growth and income stability,the production behaviors of them is to use their region and the natural resources reasonably.The production behavior of rice growers is a integrated result of various actions including economic,natural,market and policy factors,which is characterized by complexity and diversity.Fourth,by using Logistic model,there are four factors remarkable influence the production decision of rice farmers including business types,plant will,rice prices and whether to attend training or not,and whether the farmers are able to sign orders with enterprises and have large quantities of agricultural machinery have some effects on the production behavior.But the age,education background,household income have no significant effect on it.Fifth,according to the research results of qualitative and quantitative research as well as the analysis of rice production situation,we put forward the following suggestions: to guide the scale production of rice planting households,to create a favorable external environment,to improve the rice growing willingness of farmers,to strengthen technical training of farmers and establish a system of agricultural technology popularizing,also to accelerate the rural compulsory education and raise the level of education for farmers.
