Adaptability study provides a new research paradigm for analyzing human-earth system,especially the coupling mechanism between the industrial system and ecological system.The environmental adaptability of regional industrial system reflects the self-adjustment ability,learning ability,innovation ability and transformation ability of industrial development under the development and changes of the environment.Research on the environmental adaptability of industrial system can provide a new perspective for reducing ecosystem vulnerability and enhancing its sustainability.Research on the basin industrial ecosystem has attracted widespread attention because of relative close relationship,and sharp conflict between industrial system and environmental system.The resources-oriented industry of the Songhua River basin in Jilin Province is relatively developed,increasing the structural vulnerability of industrial system and forming a heavy industrial structure and pollution industry chain.All of them has caused environment deterioration,especially the serious water pollution,and affect the sustainable development.As a typical interreaction area,the conflict and contradiction between industrial development and environmental protection has been intensified,causing widespread attention on the environmental adaptability of industrial system.The 4 cities along the Songhua River basin of Jilin Province was used to carry out an empirical study,and using adaptability analysis paradigm and process,formation and mechanism of geographical classical analysis method,this paper researched on the evolution characteristics of basin industrial ecosystem.Based on adaptive elements,adaptive target and adaptive efficiency,this paper quantitatively analyzed the environmental adaptability of basin industrial system and reveals its driving mechanism.Finally,this paper put forward the regulation model and control suggestions of environmental adaptability of river basin industrial system.The main research contents were as follows:The first part was the theoretical basis of environmental adaptability of industrial system.Based on discriminating relevant concepts of adaptability,vulnerability,elasticity,this paper put forward the concept connotation of the environmental adaptability of industrial system.Based on eco-environmental carrying capacity,through measuring material energy input and output between industrial system and environmental system,the environmental adaptability of industrial system presents the ecological affinity state and reflects the recombinant ability,strain ability and learning ability of industrial system under ecosystem constraint.Finally,the paper put forward the basic connotation and characteristics of the environmental adaptability of basin industrial system.The second part was the evolution characteristic and situation pattern of industrial ecosystem in the Songhua River basin of Jilin Province.Firstly,the paper defined the research area and analyzed its development.Secondly,the paper analyzed the evolution characteristics and current pattern of the research area industrial ecosystem and indicated that the industrial ecosystem had experienced period of coordinated development,antagonistic development,worsening development,intensified development and moderate development.In addition,the characteristics of heavy industrial structure and spatial distribution of industry were obvious.Finally,the development of industrial ecosystem and its obstacle factors were quantitatively measured.The above all provided the basis for environmental adaptability evaluation,mechanism and regulation measures of basin industrial system.The third part was the comprehensive evaluation of industrial systems' environmental adaptability based on adaptive elements,adaptive objectives and adaptive efficiency.For the adaptive elements analysis,the elements and the subsystem of adaptability had the spatio-temporal differentiation characteristics,and the environmental adaptability of industrial system could be divided into 4 types.For the adaptive objectives analysis,the production processes and industrial systems' eco-efficiency also had the spatio-temporal differentiation characteristics,and resource reduction as well as pollutant treatment was the decisive factor of industrial systems' environmental adaptability.For the adaptive efficiency analysis,the research area was still in the expansion and growth stage,and scale-driven economic development occupied a dominant position as well as improved the adaptive efficiency.Like scale efficiency,counties with high comprehensive efficiency continued to gather in the upstream and midstream;however,counties with high pure technical efficiency mainly concentrated in the midstream and downstream.The fourth part was the industrial systems' environmental adaptability mechanism and its control countermeasure.Firstly,the paper qualitative revealed environmental adaptability mechanism of industrial system from 3 aspects-endogenous dynamic mechanism,external promotion mechanism and guide regulation mechanism.Secondly,the paper put forward the environmental adaptability regulation model of industrial system from structure optimization and system reorganization perspective,namely industrial cluster mode,industrial cooperation model and industrial innovation mode,and explained the specific connotation.Finally,the paper proposed the environmental adaptability regulation measures of industrial system in the Songhua River basin of Jilin Province.
