Being a constant theme in coal mine safety management, production safety is seriously threatened by various accidents in coal mine enterprises.A series of statistical data and researches show that production safety of coal mine enterprises is closely related to the unsafe behaviors of employees. Therefore, proper intervention and control on unsafe behaviors of the coal miners will reduce the number of accidents to a greater extent. However,as a main approach,it is common for coal miners to imitate and follow unsafe behaviors of other coal miners, which in turn will lead to the diffusion of unsafe behaviors among coal miners, causing a decline in group safety awareness and threatening the production safety of coal mine enterprises. In view of the negative impacts of imitating and following unsafe behaviors of other coal miners,it is necessary to have an in-depth discussion and carry out certain researches on its driving mechanism, rules of evolution and scientific intervention strategies, which are of practical significance to the strengthening of safety and guaranty of the production safety of coal miners’ enterprises.Starting from the imitating and following of unsafe behaviors of other coal miners, this dissertation proposes a new concept in the current research, that is unsafe herd behaviors and takes it as the research object.By following the“Problem-Analysis-Solution” pattern and using the theories and viewpoints of safety science, social psychology, behavioral economics and management science reasonably, this dissertation explores and analyzes the driving mechanism, rules of evolution and selection preference under the influence of different factors of unsafe herd behaviors.More specifically, the current research mainly includes the following research contents and conclusions:(1)By literature review and study, this research defines the concept of unsafe herd behaviors on the basis of the concepts of unsafe behaviors in safety management, herd behaviors in behavioral finance and conformity behaviors in social psychology. In addition, based on the in-depth interview data, the grounded theory is applied to construct and verify the two-dimensional structure of unsafe herd behaviors, namely,to normative compliance and information identification from the perspective of behavior motivation.(2)Based on the in-depth interview data, the grounded theory is applied to dig out the driving factors and build the driving mechanism model of unsafe herdbehaviors, and put forward hypotheses and then collected the research data via the developed scale.Through one-way ANOVA and structural equation model analysis,we come to the following conclusions: there are significantly differences of unsafe heard behaviors in job tenure, salary, age and education, but no difference in position. The level of recovery and work accomplishments have negative effect on the tendency of unsafe herd behaviors through the mediation of perceived benefits, while task and interpersonal relationships, group unsafe atmosphere and job demand significantly positively affect unsafe herd behavior via the mediating effect of perceived benefits.Additionally, personal traits, task and interpersonal relationships and group unsafe atmosphere are negatively related to the tendency of unsafe herd behavior by the mediating effect of perceived loss, while the level of recovery and organizational supervision positively affect the tendency of unsafe herd behaviors through perceived loss.(3)An evolutionary game analysis of unsafe herd behavior based on the perception of behavioral utility was carried out.Due to perception of behavioral utility plays a mediating role in the relations between internal and external factors and unsafe herd behaviors. And it is a key and immediate factor which has a effect on unsafe herd behaviors. Therefore,by using evolutionary game theory, this research further analyzes the effect of perception of behavioral utility on unsafe herd behaviors, which is helpful to grasp the evolutionary law of unsafe herd behaviors. We analyzed the evolution path and evolutionary stable strategies of unsafe herd behaviors from perspectives within the coal miners group by establishing symmetric game between coal miner and coal miner. The evolutionary stable strategies of front-line coal miners under the effect of different level of perception of behavioral utility(i.e.,perceived benefits and loss)are obtained, and the results are numerical simulated via Matlab software.Furthermore,by establishing a asymmetric game between managers and front-line coal miners,we also analyzed the evolution path and evolutionary stable strategies of unsafe herd behaviors from perspective outside the coal miners group,as well as the corresponding manager’s strategy selection.Additionally, the results are numerical simulated via Matlab software.(4)Given that perception of behavioral utility is affected by internal and external factors, therefore internal and external factors are embedded in perception of behavioral utility.By establishing a simulation model for the selection of unsafe herd behaviors,we analyze the intervention effect on evolution laws under different valuesof factors, the result of which shows that the best intervention effect goes to personal traits after comparing the intervention effect among each factor. In addition, the optimal and worst values of internal factors(personal traits, level of recovery, and work accomplishments)and external factors(task and interpersonal relationships, group unsafe atmosphere, job demands, and organizational supervision)were selected, and the intervention effects of external factors on unsafe herd behaviors were better. Finally, when personal traits, tasks and interpersonal relationships, group unsafe atmosphere, and job demands are at a low level, while level of recovery, work accomplishments and organizational supervision are at a high level,in this situation the level of unsafe herd behaviors in the whole system is the lowest, and the intervention effect is the best.(5)Based on the results of empirical study, evolutionary game study and simulation study,a series of targeted management tips and countermeasures were put forward from the following three aspects,namely,behavior-driven,evolution rules and intervention effect, respectively, laying a solid foundation for preventing unsafe herd behaviors and ensuring production safety in coal mine enterprises. In this study, there are 68 figures,103 tables and 326 references.
