The existing research shows that it is higher production efficiency,lower environmental pollution and higher engineering quality for the prefabricated building project mode than those for the traditional building project mode.Now,the prefabricated building project model has become the popular model in the international construction industry.And the Chinese government is also vigorously promoting the implementation of prefabricated building project model.But it is shown that the adoption rate of the prefabricated building project mode is very low.So it is very important that to figure out what factors restrain the implementation of prefabricated building project model in China and which factors can promote the implementation of prefabricated building project model in China.To answer these questions,this distertation includes main contents as follows:(1)Through literature survey and semi-structured interview,obstructive factors were identified that affect the implementation of prefabricated buildings project model in China.Based on questionnaire survey and IPA analysis,we found some key factors on the adoption of prefabricated building project model in China,which include improper decomposition of prefabricated components,low management level of prefabricated components factory,modulus deviation of prefabricated components and so on.Finally,management implications were proposed,such as accelerating module development,organizing training for practitioners,and encouraging technological innovation.(2)Through the literature survey,the promotion factors which infuence the successful implementation of prefabricated building project mode in China,including the supply capability of prefabricated component enterprises and the safety performance of prefabricated buildings,were distinguished and discussed.Moreover,their influence degree on the successful implementation of prefabricated building project mode in the China are studied by using the multinomial Logistic regression.We found that the supply capability of the component factory is the most important promoting factor that affects the implementation of prefabricated building project mode.(3)The factors model which shows the influence on the prefabricated components supply was constracted based on the grounded theory,we found that there were four main kinds of factors include the production technology,organization and management,enterprise and staff,and the mass customization.They were verified via structural equation modeling,and shown how the effect of these factors on the supply of prefabricated components in the China.(4)It was shown that the reliability of the off-site production facilities and the on-site assembly facilities will affect the cost and duration of the prefabricated building project.Therefore,two the mathematical models were build to show the two types of the prefabricated building project planning with unreliable facilities,one was the project with single prefabricated component and the other was one with multi-prefabricated components.Based on the analysis of these two types of mathematical models,we proposed algorithms to solve these two types of mathematical models,which can be applied to develop decision support system for the prefabricated building projects.The works in this dissertation enriched the works on the adoption of the prefabricated building project in China and the planning for the prefabricated building project,provided some policy insights for promoting the implementation of the prefabricated building project in China,and the planning framework for the prefabricated building project in China in practice.
