The Study Of The Overseas Dictionary Literatures Concerning Kangxi Dictionary

Since 1716,Kangxi Dictionary have been published,the great dictionary had been spreaded to the overseas countries soon and have a positive effect on the compilation of dictionaries,legislation of language and orthography policy,the research of Chinese characters,the selection of standardization translation plan and so forth.Hitherto people from overseas countries still follow interest to Kangxi Dictionary.In contract,because of the severer culture policy of Qing Dynasty,few researchers of China had the courage to stand out and point the flaws of this dictionary and therefore the dictionary almostly did not develop any more.After the end of Qing Dynasty,the researchers and scholars of China began to critize the dictionary seriously,because of the multitudinous mistakes in the dictionary.However,owing to policy and emotional factors,Chinese reachers and scholars cannot judge of the Kangxi Dictionary objectively.The overseas influence of Kangxi Dictionary have been ignored in Chia for a long time.However,we need to realize a fact that the research of the overseas dictionaries and the other books about Kangxi Dictionary is of great essential and importance.The main aim of this paper will be on the concerning of the overseas dictionaries of Kangxi Dictionary.Furthermore we will focus on the other kinds of interrelated literatures.By the means of searching the ways of the overseas spreading of Kangxi Dictionary,we will try to find the effect of Kangxi Dictionary on the overseas compilation of dictionaries.Our research will be divided into two parts by the Chinese character zone and will lay special stress on analysing the area of Japan,Kroea and the West.The paper will try to reconstitute the ancestries of the overseas concerning dictionaries of Kangxi Dictionary.Through the above research and analysis,we will have a more macroscopic view to observe the difference of the development of the Kangxi Dictionary in those countries and areas.We will make a summary of the development of Kangxi Dictionary overwide and reevaluate the dictionary.Doing the research will not only complete the history of our country's dictionary history,the history of sinology abroad and History of international Chinese Language Education.
