| Modern Chinese interrogative pronoun construction refers to the construction of modern Chinese interrogative pronouns, shortened as " interrogative pronoun construction".This dissertation takes the construction grammar theory as a guide and examines the constructions of interrogative pronouns by using the theory of construction and subjectivization.Firstly, classifications of the interrogative pronoun construction are made in the dissertation. From the perspective of form,it is divided into substantive constructions and schematic constructions,as well as reduplicative constructions and non-reduplicative constructions. From the point of view of meaning,it consists of affirmative constructions and negative constructions,as well as low-transparency constructions and high-transparency constructions. From the perspective of function,it is classified into constructions that can be independently formed into sentences and those that cannot. From the aspect of pragmatic functions,it can be broken into constructions with discourse markers and those without. The second chapter examines the constructions of negative interrogative pronouns which have obvious meaning specificity. The number of negative constructions in interrogative pronoun constructions is fairly large, and there have been many fruitful case studies in the past.We make an overall study by analyzing the origin, identifying the difference between the negation of the constructions and the negation of the interrogative pronouns, and pointing out the inappropriacy of such term as “the negative use of the interrogative pronoun”.At the same time, this chapter also examines the interactions between constructions and interrogative pronouns, the degree of solidification of negative constructions, and their construal.Chapter Ⅲ investigates the reduplicative constructions of interrogative pronouns with obvious formal characteristics. We summarize the constructive meaning of the interrogative pronoun reduplicatve construction as “highlighting the repetition of the objects referred to by interrogative pronouns in sub-scanning mode”.Reduplicative constructions often appear in two contexts: " any reference context" and "paraphrasing context".In the " any reference context",the reduplicative constructions can be realized as " reduplication of any reference",but it is different from " any reference" of interrogative pronouns used alone. In the "paraphrasing context",the reduplicative construction can achieve the usage of "reduplicated fuzzy reference",which is different from the usage of "virtual reference" of interrogative pronouns when used alone.Chapter Ⅳ examines the idiomatic interrogative pronoun constructions with low meaning transparency. The characteristics and types of idiomatic constructions are analyzed..Case studies focus on the heckle construction"哪多哪少",and make a comparative analysis of the two constructions(“咱俩谁跟谁啊”“哪儿跟哪儿啊”)which have common structural features. The fifth chapter examines the constructivization of interrogative pronoun constructions from the perspective of language change. After a brief introduction to the construction theory, the case studies mainly focus on the construction of the new subjective polarity evaluation construction“没谁了”and the construction of the atypical interrogative pronoun“怎么着”,pointing out that“怎么着”is both homomorphic and heterogeneous and is the coexistence of the three properties of composition, integrity(lexical)and discourse markers in the synchronic plane. |
