There is a characteristic and common expression in Chinese spoken language.It is "X not/no Y + interrogative pronoun Y".it is a negative assumption conditional rhetorical question which is formed by the integration's form"X not/no Y" and the form of declarative negation"interrogative pronoun Y".We have made a multi-angle research under the theoretical direction,such as structural linguistics and cognitive linguistics.The paper whose body consists of five parts gives the elaboration of it from five aspects.The first chapter is the structural characteristics and component analysis of "X not/no Y + interrogative pronoun Y".The structure has the characteristics of imitation and hypothetical relationship;"X" and "interrogative pronoun" have correspondence;The negative word "no" has no restrictions on entering this format,while "no" can only appear in the rhetorical sentence of "who",which is a verb component,and appear with the state of affairs auxiliary words "over" and "has"."Y"can be a verb element,a qualitative adjective,and a.[+ sequential meaning].[The semantic feature refers to the human noun component.The second chapter is the semantic analysis of "X not/no Y + interrogative pronoun Y".The meaning of format is influenced by the semantic relations between"X" and "Y".The are four relations between them:explicit relation,implicit relation,description relation and judgment relation.From the perspective of cognitive linguistics and grammar,this paper analyzes the formal meaning of "X not/no Y +interrogative pronoun Y" as "X must have the case or attribute characteristic of Y",and emphasizes that "Y is not X".The third chapter is the pragmatic analysis of "X not/no Y + interrogative pronoun Y".The format has the characteristic of subjectivity,weak cross-examination and contrastive focus.Chapter 4th is a diachronic study of "X not/no Y + interrogative pronoun Y".The use case of "X not/no Y + interrogative pronoun Y" first appeared in the Analects of Confucius,and the Spring and Autumn period and the warring States period were its budding period,but the format use cases were few.From Han Dynasty to Tang and five dynasties,the interrogative pronoun "He" entered the format for the first time,and"Y" has developed into adjective and noun components.Song and Yuan were its mature period,the format was widely used,and it was influenced by the cultural characteristics of the dynasty.The Ming and Qing dynasties are the formative periods,there is not great difference from the forms of modern Chinese.Chapter 5th is a variant study of "X not/no Y + interrogative pronoun Y".The variant "you do not X,I(he)is not X,who X"has the characteristics of highlighting"you" and "I/he" is fictitious meaning and reinforcing rhetorical tone;The semantic difference between the variant "NP + Ai + interrogative pronoun + A2"and the original is slightly different.We concluded the main views in the conclusion and pointed the deficiencies.
