Lu Shiyi is a famous scholar.He lived between Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty.He spent his life in writing,lecturing and attending to local affairs.His works are extensive in content.From the relevant historical materials,we can know that the formation of his academic though originated not only from the inheritance of a good family style,but also from the consultation and assistance of good teachers and friends,and fundamentally depended on self-reliance.Lu Shiyi is endowed with great talent and can always walk in a festive manner.He took the imperial examination in his early years.Later,he devoted himself to studying Confucianism.Soon,he successively realized the true meaning of the theory of Li and Qi.Therefore,he has a profound understanding of the theory of human nature.Especially Lu Shiyi attached great importance to moral cultivation and constantly changes his methods to improve his level of accomplishment.He also practiced actively.On the one hand,his books are of great practical value.On the other hand,he also helped others to improve and was willing to serve the local people.Because of knowing and acting in one,he widely praised and respected by the people at that time.His words and deeds are beneficial to academic change and the world's morality,which can be called a generation of life-long Confucianism.After his death,he was honored as a local virtuous teacher and worshipped Confucian temples in the end of Qing Dynasty.Without doubt,it is very meaningful for us to learn his thoughts.
