The ontology of chair(flesh)in Merleau-Ponty figures out the structure “flesh – perception – expression”,which proposes the way from possibility to reality and finally expressivity: firstly,chair,an “élément de l'être”(element of Being),presents itself as the “Urpr?sentierbarkeit”(original presentatibility)of beings,which is neither matter nor idea,but between them.It means that chair is either “chose en général” or ”principe incarné”,which indicates idealized thing or thingificative idea,defined internally the possibility of the presentation of beings and assured de jure the genesis of perception;secondly,perception is the perception of others(other people or things),which means I present the Being of beings in perception.Through the spontaneous way of “déhiscence” or “fission” of body,I could envelope the others in “l'expérience de ma chair” and transform the latter as the “double” or “extension” of body.In this occasion,I and the others are homogeneous,which proves that what I could grasp in perception is what I am;thirdly,expression is the expression of perception,which means the expression of Being.That is to say,the presentation of beings not only means the expression of Being,but also the expression of beings,because Being is always the Being of beings.The creation of painting and literature(essai)makes the world of perception into the “déformation cohérente”,and gathers the perceptions as art works,which present the truth of Being in their own development of material sensible.Indeed,the ontologic interrogation in Merleau-Ponty is not just the production of his latter research,but a continued topic through all his thoughts.More precisely,it shows itself as “le corps propre” in early periode and “le monde silencieux in medium term.In the aesthetic angle,the structure of the ontology of chair is just the possibility,reality and expressivity of sensible,i.e.the ontologic foundation of the genesis of aesthetics.
