Research On Mongolian Word Recognition ERPs

This paper is the first ERPs experimental paper in Mongolian.Although Mongolian word recognition has been studied from various points in Chinese,such as Mongolian-Chinese bilingual word recognition and Mongolian-Chinese-English trilingual word recognition,this research discussed from a new perspective of Mongolian grammar,which has not been published yet.In such a situation,using Mongolian phonetic harmony accent as the grammatical basis,under the guidance of the supervisor and tireless explanations of Beijing Feiyuxing Company technicians,I did ERPs research on two Mongolian grammatical phenomena.The theory,the research method and the function of ERPs are discussed in detail.This dissertation consists of introduction,main body(three chapters),summary,reference and appendix.In the introduction part,as ERPs are a branch of cognitive linguistics,the basic theory,main research methods,development,research significance and general situation of Mongolian ERPs are introduced in detail.The theoretical methods of vocabulary recognition,the advantages and disadvantages of ERPs technology and main components of ERPs technology as well as the use of ERPs technology in the study of vocabulary recognition are discussed in the first chapter mainly.In second chapter,ERPs experiments were conducted on 240 high-frequency words in accordance with Mongolian vowel harmony grammar using masking priming paradigm.This experiment consists of two parts.The first part takes Inner Mongolian University undergraduates as quilt type,phonetics and orthography as stimuli to.study the harmony start time of traditional Mongolia vowels,EEG response after deviation and semantic accessibility.In the second part,a comparative study of Kirill vin in Mongolia with Mongolian students as quilts and is conducted under same conditionsIn third chapter,240 disyllabic and trisyllabic words are selected in order to study Mongolian word stress initiation time and EEG response under the control of SOA.This is also composed of two parts.The first part takes Inner Mongolia University undergraduates as quilt type to study the start time of traditional Mongolian word stress under different SOA conditions and the EEG response when stress is not in the first syllable.The second part takes students from Outer Mongolia as quilt forms and study the stress of Kirill vin under the same conditions.The summary part is the conclusion of the dissertation.In this last part,the author summarizes what is advisable and what is deficient in the study,and manages to point out challenges and direction in the further study.The appendix presents all examples used in the experiment in tables.
