Chinese is a large language with a large population and has a strong influence in the world,especially in the cultural circle of Chinese characters in east Asia and southeast Asia and the surrounding areas.To date,most countries in the world have set up Chinese language courses or Confucius institutes.Chinese is one of the oldest spoken languages in Vietnam.More than 1,000 years ago,ancient Chinese entered the Vietnamese education system and was welcomed by the Vietnamese people.It has long been used as an official language in official documents,literature and historical records.At that time,Chinese also became the "sage character" of the Vietnamese,used in administrative,educational,poetic,literary,political and other aspects.The ancient Chinese in the school are respected by the common people.After about a century and a half of ups and downs,until after 1991,Chinese recovered in Vietnam.Once again,Chinese became popular among Vietnamese learners.The number of people learning Chinese,especially Chinese college students,continues to increase with each passing year.This has led to many difficulties in Chinese language teaching in Vietnam,which need to be solved urgently.For example,there is a shortage of teachers and teaching places.Each teacher spends too much time in teaching,and teachers have no time for scientific research.The Vietnamese government,the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam,universities,Chinese language experts,Chinese language researchers and Chinese language teachers need to face the difficulties and work out appropriate countermeasures to solve the problems.In order to achieve the research objectives,the author used several different research methods,including interviews,questionnaires,reference materials,etc.The research scope is also representative of the three regions(north,central and south)in China,including urban and rural areas,developing and developed cities.The research objects are mainly Chinese major college students and Chinese teachers,because these two objects are the people who have the most frequent contact with Chinese and the most understanding of Chinese.The main objective of this study is to give a panoramic view of the Chinese teaching situation in Vietnam,and find out the reasons for the decline in teaching quality,so as to put forward some countermeasures for the development of Chinese teaching in Vietnam.The thesis is divided into 6 chapters.In the first chapter,the author summarizes the research status of Chinese language teaching in China and abroad.Basically,the research on Chinese teaching is not comprehensiveand profound.The content of Chinese teaching research is different in every country.Vietnam is a neighbor of China and is deeply influenced by Chinese culture.There are many fields of Chinese teaching research in Vietnam,but they are lack of unity and relevance.The research focuses on teaching skills,Chinese teaching status and learning motivation.Grammar research,vocabulary,semantics and so on have not received much attention from researchers.In foreign countries,"the ontological study of Chinese as a foreign language teaching is insufficient".Although Chinese teaching research can be found in any country,it still needs to be completed by further research.In the United States,researchers focus on development policy and development textbooks.In Thailand,most of the research on Chinese language teaching focuses on the teaching situation and development strategies of Chinese language.The research on Chinese teaching in South Korea is mainly focused on the Chinese teaching situation,grammar research,Chinese policy,Chinese teaching materials,Chinese communication and other issues.Japan is also deeply influenced by Chinese culture.Chinese teaching research has been carried out for a long time,so Chinese research in Japan is more profound and comprehensive than in other countries.In the second chapter,the author mentions some objective and competent reasons for the development of Chinese language teaching in Vietnam.In the case of internationalization,multilingualism is the development direction of international education.Chinese is a big language,one of the five international languages.Up to now,Chinese has covered the whole world and is taught in every country.Vietnam is no exception.In the north of Vietnam,Guangdong province is next to Guangxi province of China.The two countries have been exchanging culture and economy for a long time.In thousands of years of history,there are more and more close cultural,economic,literary,and even political aspects of the relationship.China affects Vietnam in every way.In an effort to boost ties between the two countries,China and Vietnam recently conducted educational exchanges,with each country sending hundreds of students to study in the state every year.In ancient times,Vietnamese people regarded Chinese as the sage character,which was the language everyone needed to learn.Up to now,Chinese has taken an important place in every Vietnamese's heart and won their favor.These are reflected in the increasing number of people who choose to study Chinese in recent years.In many casinos in Vietnam,Chinese calligraphy activities are often organized and are popular with tourists.In Vietnamese culture,weddings and funerals are used.In the third chapter,the author announces and analyzes the situation of learning Chinese inVietnamese Chinese major universities.In recent years,the obvious increase of Chinese majors in universities has led to many difficulties in teaching and management.So far,no good solution has been found,leading to the decline of teaching quality.Based on the results of the Chinese test,we found that the level of Chinese majors in Vietnamese universities is lower than their own assessment of Chinese proficiency.In the class,their academic performance is qualified,is considered by the school to meet the standards set by the school and can continue the class.We do not consider our test paper as a standard version of the assessment of learners' Chinese proficiency,but under the pressure of their failure to meet social requirements,we temporarily call it a gauge to measure their actual Chinese proficiency,which helps us to have a basis to evaluate the Chinese proficiency of current Chinese college students.The results of the survey show that the Chinese major now studies hard in universities,has a good sense of learning and a real love for this subject.However,it is clear from the survey results that many problems,such as the number of students in each class exceeding the foreign language standard,lead to reduced opportunities for them to practice language communication.Evaluation is simply about getting test scores,not about getting a sense of the student's progress.The survey results clearly show that 53.5 percent of those surveyed attended additional tutorials,indicating that the quality of teaching in the school is not meeting the needs of learners.There are already HSK certificates and Vietnamese national Chinese certificates account for a large proportion.These allow different students to work together in the same class.The teachers encountered many difficulties,and students with high Chinese proficiency also wasted their time.There have also been some recent changes in major choice.In recent years,on the contrary,Chinese synthesis has won their attention.This is reflected in the fact that the number of students of Chinese synthesis in many schools has increased significantly,while that of normal Chinese has not.In addition,there is a big problem in Chinese major universities,that is,they are unfamiliar with scientific research.They don't know much about scientific research,they don't have a high level of participation in scientific research,many of them don't participate in scientific research,and many of them don't understand scientific research.Therefore,if the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam wants to develop the Chinese language,they should first reorganize the learning situation of the learners.In the case that the best learning environment cannot be given for the time being,the managers and teachers need to cultivate their good learning mentality,face and overcome difficulties.In thefourth chapter,in order to better understand Vietnamese Chinese teaching,we investigate the teacher's object.Because the Chinese language teacher is the object who knows the Chinese language most,knows the present Vietnamese Chinese language teaching condition most.Through their survey opinions,we can see a panoramic view of Vietnamese Chinese teaching status.In general,Vietnam now has a good team of Chinese language teachers,who are enthusiastic about Chinese language teaching,experienced and have more advanced degrees than other majors.However,the Chinese language teaching team has encountered many difficulties,such as they still use old,not quite in line with the modern period of materials and teaching equipment.The curriculum system and teaching materials are in the process of being updated but have not yet met the social requirements.And the other problem that the administrators,the teachers,they all recognize that it's important but they don't do it well is research.Research in Vietnam has become a problem not only for Chinese studies but also for other majors.Because for teachers,scientific research is only an unnecessary task,they are not willing to do it.According to the survey,although most teachers believe that scientific research is very important for teaching,the results of the survey on the participation level of scientific research show that most of them participate in the department level,a small number of them participate in the school level,and few of them participate in the ministry level and the national level.For this problem,we can understand like this: the government investment in scientific research is not very reasonable,every teacher in class every day is very busy,basically they had no time to realize the scientific research,in addition,the government of teachers' treatment is not very good,spare time most of the other part-time jobs to make money for the family,so they are relatively indifferent to scientific research.To solve this problem,Vietnam's Ministry of Education and Training needs to develop a good policy to make scientific research the second most important task for teachers besides teaching,to give scientific research a reasonable investment,and to improve the treatment of teachers.Teaching evaluation is an important item in teaching.So far,teaching assessments have stopped at just getting grades,rather than classifying learners and assigning them a class at their level.Therefore,not only teachers but also learners also encounter many difficulties in the learning process.The survey shows that most teachers have realized the importance of Chinese assessment.Among the assessment objectives,teachers who choose the assessment objectives and classification objectives are the most,accounting for 34.6%.Although the teaching plan adjustment is also an importantassessment objective,it only gets 29.8% of the teachers' choice.In addition,7.6% of the teachers did not choose the evaluation target,which reflects that this part of the teachers is unfamiliar with the evaluation target.The teaching results reflect the teaching quality of teachers,but the survey results show that 14.1% of teachers are dissatisfied with students' Chinese learning performance,among which 12.8% are completely dissatisfied,while only 12% of teachers are satisfied with their students' learning performance.Generally speaking,teachers should express a high degree of satisfaction with their students' academic performance.The answer is analyzed in chapter 4.Education is inseparable from the development of the society,and even to predict the direction of social development in advance,from then on can put forward the best development proposal.Chinese language teaching is part of education,and in the context of industry4.0 development,it also needs to change itself in order to conform to the new society.With the development of industry 4.0,human beings not only need to use the intelligent brain to work,familiar with the use of advanced technology but also need to create it and make it into a tool of labor for human beings.For college students majoring in Chinese,in addition to learning Chinese well,they also need to learn some soft skills to train themselves to be a crowd in line with social requirements.Teachers also need to improve themselves,learn modern science and technology,do their own work well.Managers need to be more flexible and work out some good measures in advance,such as giving more power to universities and launching more Chinese majors.The emergence of industry 4.0 has led to many challenges not only for Chinese language teaching but also for the entire Vietnamese education system.Vietnamese teachers have been used to using traditional teaching methods before,but now they have to change completely,from the teaching content,teaching methods and teaching tools,etc.,which makes some Chinese teachers feel difficult and difficult to solve.But it has developed to provide a huge opportunity for people who are flexible,smart,creative and attentive.In the last chapter,the author puts forward some countermeasures for the development of Chinese teaching.Chinese language teaching in Vietnam has achieved a lot of success.First of all,we should mention the transmission dynamics of Chinese.In recent years,many people have chosen Chinese as their future job.The quality of teaching is improving slowly.However,with the continuous increase in the number of Chinese language majors in universities,Chinese language teaching managers have encountered many difficulties,especially the lack of teachers and teaching sites.Therefore,it needs the state to strengthen investment,investment is not only teaching tools but also toinvest in scientific research,investment in the teaching staff.Chinese teaching has a long history in Vietnam,with its ups and downs,but it has always been popular.With the help of the Chinese government and the efforts of the Vietnamese government,Chinese language teaching has been further developed.Up to now,the world has entered a new industry 4.0 society.In order to adapt to it,Chinese teaching needs to change itself,among which the university and the faculty also need to change.These changes require the Vietnamese government to work out some good measures to develop Chinese language teaching in the future.
