The Research On China's Ideological Security In The Critical Perspective Of Populism

Since the beginning of the 21^st century,the ideological field of China is facing complicated international and domestic environment with severe challenges,along with the development of globalization,networking and social transformation.As to ideology and culture field,non-Marxist social thoughts flourished,especially the populism,which is immensely appalling,posing a threat to the ideological security of our country.Basically populism takes the"people"'s demand as the starting point and exaggerates the social value of it,which is essentially an ideology that caters to the public.It features democratic connotation which tends to autocracy,patriotic feelings that often lead to extreme nationalism;post-modernist materials which leads to the radical way from"authority deconstruction"to the"mass carnival".In terms of general characteristics,it features hypocrisy of the representation of the people,criticism of dissatisfaction,irrationality of group agglomeration.Populism is variable with many forms,therefore,the study of it should be conducted with specific time and space.As to China,the populism people talked about before the reform and opening up refers to the narrow one in the Russian context,that is,the value revolution from rural village community to socialism by neglecting the capitalist stage.After the reform and opening up,the once discussed populism evolved into general one with the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics,which advocates the masses and criticizes the elite.Since the reform and opening up,populism has gradually flourished and extended in China with tremendous adjustment of China's economic system,profound changes of political system and the pattern of interests,becoming an obstacle to China's democratic politics,economic development,civic awareness,and mainstream values.In terms of the manifestations,it has penetrated in various fields,like the claim of public rights through"Square Carnival"in the political field,the support of public aesthetics and rejection of artistic content with elegant culture in the cultural field,or the permeation of extreme nationalism in national spirit level.In terms of philosophical methodology,contemporary populism in our country features mechanical and abstract human nature setting,either-or thinking,and fabrication of people's discourse in name only.Following the above philosophical methodology,populism in contemporary China is characterized by the following features:extreme democracy in political concepts,absolute fairness in economic demands,rejection of elegance in cultural orientation,grass roots in the composition of the subject,fragmentation and anaclisis in the form of existence.By seeing through the appearance to perceive the essence,it is found that it features the ideological value of anti-Marxist,absolute idealized policy view,petty bourgeoisie class nature,although seemingly democratic and people-oriented.Compared with other social trends,populism is more potentially threatening because of the confusing slogan"for the people"and"democracy".It can easily distort and penetrate the mainstream ideology due to the guiding vocabulary of people,fairness,democracy.As an inevitable result,the ideological security in China will definitely meet the challenge of populism.Currently,it threatens the ideological security in various fields,such as the guiding ideology of Marxism,the common ideal of socialism with Chinese characteristics,moral order,political identity and national spirit.The key to maintain the ideological security of our country from the critical perspective of populism is to exploring the theoretical resources of Marxism consciously.The criticism of early stage Russian populism,as well as the analysis of populism phenomena from the perspective of socialism with Chinese characteristics by Marxist classical writers provide a paramount reference for us to cope with the current challenge of populism,that is,enhancing the critical ability of Marxism to populism at the theoretical level,strengthening the sense of achievements of the people at the economic level,achieving a wider range of real democracy at the political level.With the constant burst out of western populism,it's time that we learned the lessons,maintaining social equity in the era of globalization,consolidating the Party's identity and actively promoting national governance.Based on the exploration of Marxist theoretical resources and the examination of western populism reference,as well as the national condition of China,it is found that in the critical perspective of populism,many aspects demand attention for ideological safety.It is not only necessary to strengthen the ability of mainstream ideology that lead populism,but also to solve the deep level contradictions,including the co-existence of beneficiaries and those who suffer losses during globalization and social transformation,political transformation and the immaturity of civic consciousness,national network and imperfect network governance.This study is committed to dredging populism in every aspect,analyzing the possible way of maintaining ideological security in critical perspective of populism from 5 aspects:the foundation of populist ideological basis,consolidation of populist realistic foundation,construction of populist political conditions,shaping of populist main elements,creation of populist media environment.
