| In the middle of the 19 th century,Nyag rked Mgon po rnam rgyal became one of the most influential figures in the 19 th century after decades of unification of Lcags mdud and further control of most of the Khams-pa district.Its forces shocked the Tibetan local government and the Qing dynasty.Originally located on the edgeof Han and Tibet,Lcags mdud has become the center of communication between Han and Tibet.It also became an important strategic point between Han and Tibet.However,for Mgon po rnam rgyal himself,he touched the interests of the Kham Areaauthority,the Tibetan local government,the Qing dynasty and other parties,and after Mgon po rnam rgyal's defeat,the Tibetan local government controlled Lcags mdud for more than 40 years.To some extent,these forces have a negative attitude towards Mgon po rnam rgyal.In fact,however,there must be an objective and specific reason why Mgon po rnam rgyal was able to launch such a spectacular event under such circumstances.In the past,due to the special geographical location and the complex and precipitous terrain inside,the traffic was not convenient,and the special dialect in the region further increased the difficulty for the researchers,which limited the in-depth study leading to some deficiencies in this field.The author gave play to his language advantage and carried on the field survey for nearly six months with the prospective of Lcags mdud and some areas of Kham Area as the object.Through field investigation and historical materials,the author finds that whether in the folk or in the historical circle,there are different opinions on Mgon po rnam rgyal,but no conclusion has been reached yet,and the image of Mgon po rnam rgyal is also different.In the folklore,some people call it the incarnation of the god of protection,while others think it is the incarnation of the devil.Some say he is a hero who saves the people and their suffering.Others think he is portrayed as a villain.Historians disagree on the image of Mgon po rnam rgyal,either as a leader of the serf rebellion or as a traitor.In short,there is a lack of a comprehensive and objective understanding of Mgon po rnam rgyal.Therefore,the in-depth study of Mgon po rnam rgyal is not only conducive to the restoration of the true face of Mgon po rnam rgyal himself to a greater extent,but also of great value to the understanding of the social history at that period of time.Meanwhile,it has certain enlightenment significance to solve some problems in the real society.Taking Mgon po rnam rgyal's multiple aspects as the entry point,this article analyzes Mgon po rnam rgyal's personal charm and family background from a micro perspective,and at the same time makes a macro grasp of the natural geographical factors,social factors,religious factors and historical factors at that time.Then try to make a more objective,comprehensive and specific interpretation of Mgon po rnam rgyal.This article holds that there are several reasons why Mgon po rnam rgyal was able to launch such a grand and far-reaching event.First of all,Mgon po rnam rgyal's unique personality charm,leadership,religious attitude and military strategy were the main reasons why he was able to unify Lcags mdud and control most of the chieftain's territory in Kham Area.Secondly,Mgon po rnam rgyal's family background,which reflected the unique cultural customs and honor view of the region,was one of the important reasons for the initial expansion of Mgon po rnam rgyal's sphere of influence.Third,the historical circumstances of the 19 th century in Kham Area,Tibet,and the whole of China were also external factors that enabled Mgon po rnam rgyal to wage such a large-scale war.Finally,the special natural geographic space of the Lcags mdud area was another objective factor for Mgon po rnam rgyal to wage war and win the war eventually.This article further discusses the social,historical,cultural,political and economic reasons behind Mgon po rnam rgyal's multi-faceted image.At the same time,it reflects some problems in the real society. |
