With the development of society and the change of time,ideological and political education for college students is facing some challenges in its working efficiency,which requires absorption and complementation of results in other studies to perfect its theoretical framework and methodology.And communication sciences,as a subject closely related with political ideological education,provides references for college students' ideological and political education when its theory and methodology are applied into the practice,while at the same time bringing about perfection and innovation to the study itself in the teaching philosophy and pedagogical approaches.With emphasis laid on the efficient receptivity of college ideological and political education,the thesis sets out from the four basic elements--acceptance subject,initiator,acceptance object and acceptance medium and applies the four theories of gate-keeper,audience,agenda-setting,cultivation and feedback in communication sciences into the practice of college ideological and political education.Based on the study,the effective receptive methods are proposed for the purpose of innovating the philosophy and methodology and improving the communication effect of college ideological and political education,meanwhile,it is also expected this study could promote the development of the subject.The thesis comprises the introduction,the body and the conclusion.The body part includes the following seven parts:Firstly,the relationship between college ideological and political education and communication is discussed.in reference to Marxist view on communication theory,this part expounds on the nature of Marxist views on communication and illustrates the relevance between these two subjects,which provides scientific materialistic guidance for the development of modern communication and the inter-disciplinary study on communication and college ideological and political education.Secondly,a study on college ideological and political education communication is conducted.A comprehensive analysis of the connotation,components and characteristics of college ideological and political education is carried out and from the perspective of communication,three major problems existing in the reflection and choice,integration and internalization,externalization and practice of college ideological and political education,thus enumerating the main problems affecting the receptivity of college ideological and political education.Thirdly,the "audience theory" is adopted to the discussion of effective receptivity of college ideological and political education.Based on the general review of the audience theory in communication studies,the basic features of audience are analyzed,and in view of this,tentative approaches of optimizing the audience is suggested,such as bringing the audience's role into full play,applying special feedback of the audience,etc.Fourthly,"gatekeeper theory" is applied to the study of effective receptivity of college ideological and political education.in reference to the gatekeeper theory,the significance of guarding in the education is stressed,therefore,a further exploration into expanding the guarding in college ideological and political education is attempted in the scope of guarding the contents and receptive ways and methods,and besides,this part also takes into account improving the qualities and abilities of college counselors who are special gatekeepers in colleges and universities.Fifthly,the "agenda-setting theory" is employed in the discussion on the effective receptivity of college ideological and political education.As an important theory in communication sciences,agenda-setting has great correlational significance on the analysis of the objects in effective acceptance of college ideological and political education.This part proposes that appropriate agenda setting can contribute to the direction and monitor of the objects,and then methods of optimizing objects are put forward in response,which includes careful selection and setting of an agenda,the enrichment and development of setting micro-agenda.Sixthly,"culture theory" of communication effect is employed in the study.Based on the culture theory,this part clarifies the enlightenments on the application of receptive media in college ideological and political education.it is recommended that mass media and network transmission should be emphasized in the acculturation effect on the nurture of college students'values,and that the realization of diversity and practicality of receptive media should be united.Meanwhile,possible methods of optimizing the media are raised in this part,such as stressing the implicit influence of campus culture and the coordination of various educational methods.Lastly,feedback theory serves for the effective receptivity of college ideological and political education.As part of communication theories,feedback theory has its influence on the effective acceptance of ideological and political education since feedback is crucial for the process control and moderation of college ideological and political education.Therefore,it is suggested in this part that a feedback mechanism should be established in the optimization of receptive process whose focus should laid on the construction of the advanced feedback mechanism,intermediate feedback mechanism and subsequent feedback mechanism.
