Justice,as the eternal pursuit of the human race,has always accompanied human beings,be it naturally or socially,entity equity or community order,spontaneously occurrence or humanity conscious.Generally speaking,justice refers to allowing nature to take its course,grasping all kinds of rules concerning human beings,matters and objects to regulate our own behaviors and coordinate various relations,and consequently achieving the state of harmony that all things are in the proper place and play with what they have,as depicted in Doctrine of the Mean,"It is this same system of laws by which all created things are produced and developed themselves each in its order and system without injuring one another;that the operations of Nature take their course without conflict or confusion."As an important part of social activity,sports also require the order of justice.Thus,the study on justice in sports is of great theoretical significance,contributing to the reification of general social justice.Also,the research is practically significant since in the course of the studies,we will try to focus on the reality of Chinese sports,describe and analyze the unfair and unjustifiable phenomena to explore the solutions for the problems.In this sense,the study on justice in sports will help with the realization of justice in contemporary Chinese sports and the construction of a harmonious Chinese society,benefit the great cause of the socialism with Chinese characteristics,and also meet the requirement of carrying out the socialist core values.Sports justice is a part of social justice and also an important embodiment of it.Concepts such as equal participation,fair competition,respect for the law and rules play important roles in sports values which are known as perseverance,hard work,teamwork and respect for the rivals,which is a proof that the notion of justice is not to be neglected in sports values.Much as it in other aspects of social life,the realization of sports justice must follow three principles,namely fairness,openness,and justness.Only in this way can we establish contracts and ethical principles for the organization of sports activities and the behaviors of the subjects,effectively and fairly regulate the sports activities,guarantee fair and reasonable relations of the multiple subjects in sports activities,and provide all citizens with equal opportunity to benefit from sports construction.Based on the status quo of China,we can see justice from four respects:competition justice,trade justice,executive justice,and allocation justice.Fair competition intensively manifests the justice in competition,including various elements such as fair rules,fair operation,fair rewards and punishments,and fair compensation.Fair competition asks that the multiple subjects involved abide by the rule of fair play to compete fairly,judge impartially,watch the games in a civilized manner and so on.However,influence by the subjective orientation of values and the objective background of competitions,this concept is undergoing challenges in the competitive sports in China,with unfair practices found in not only players,but also referees,coaches,organizers and spectators of the games or others involved.To solve these problems,we should improve the sports regulations,regulate the commercial operation of sports,maintain the dignity of sports regulations through a strict enforcement of laws,and step up the construction of sports ethics,so that the effects of the negative values can be counteracted such as money worship.As an important support of modern sports activities,the transaction of sports market must respect the principles of fair trade and strictly follow the spirit of contract.The implication of fair trade includes equal trading behavior,honesty,and mutual respect.Since the sports market of China has been newly developed,and the reform of administration mechanism lags behind,there exists the imperfect market regulation and supervision mechanism,which results in a series of problems in the aspect of fair trade in the sports market,for example,excessive administrative intervention into the market,unhealthy competition among subjects of the market,damage of the consumers' rights,as well as coexistence of the clear-sighted rules and the hidden rules in trading.In face of these problems,we should deepen the reform to clarify the boundary between administration and market of sports,strengthen the legal system to improve the regulations and maturity of the sports market,and establish a sound orientation of values to lead the public to follow the regulation of the sports market.Fairness and honesty is the important embodiment of sports administration and the main notion of modern sports administration.Fairness means justifiable administration and the following of the proper laws;and being honest suggests the avoidance of the abuse of public power in administration.In China today,owing to the development of sports marketization,sports management takes on a tendency of diversification in the differentiation of both the subjects and the interests,leading to the inevitable profound systematic reform of sports administration.During the transition,as a result of the value distortion of officials,the system defect,the absence of media supervision,and so on,injustices have come into being,such as the identity overlapping of sports administrators,unfairness in the course of the sports administration,corruption,etc.In the recent years,progress has been made in the anti-corruption drive in the field of sports in China.However,further institutional actions leading to fairness are still needed so that the corruption can be eradicated and the administration can be more efficient.Resource equality is the important embodiment of justice in sports resources' distribution.Literally,it means the equal distribution of sports resources like funding,facilities,organization,human resources,and information resources and so on.And it also implies the equal rights and opportunities of sports participation.Unfortunately,our country' s realities do suggest problems in current resource distribution—the imbalance between Olympic and non-Olympic games within competitive sports and between the competitive and mass sports,the gap between urban and rural areas or among different regions,and the lack of protection for the rights of disadvantaged groups.To ensure the equal distribution of resources,we need to adjust the strategies in favor of competitive sports to change our development model,reform the existing fiscal system for sports,and establish the balancing mechanism for resource distribution between urban and rural areas as well as between different regions and the compensation mechanism for the disadvantaged groups.All the unfairness and injustices mentioned above can come down to the alienation of sports,that is to say,the inherited and integral concept and function of sports have not fully realized.The alienation of sports makes it difficult for sports to achieve the perfection of its interior construction and reasonable performance of its exterior function.It will hinder not only the display of the charm of sports and the sportsmanship but also the boosting influence of sports on the freedom and all-round development of individuals.Consequently,it becomes impossible for sports to realize its positive value for the construction of the harmonious society.To counter the alienation of sports and realize sports justice,we need a co-work of both the ethics and the law.On the one hand,the basic solution is to regulate sports by law.We should realize the so-called legal justice by establishing and perfecting the related laws and ensuring strict law enforcement.On the other hand,we should resort to the enhancement of ethics by strengthen the education of sports ethics.Only by working in both lines will it be possible for us to realize the sports justice.To realize the sports justice,conscientious efforts from every citizen are needed to establish and maintain a justice system to fulfill their natural obligation and it's also necessary to cultivate People's inclination for justice,as the sports justice is not only a system,but also a life style with freedom,happiness and dignity,which is worth pursuing.
