The form of autonomous mobile learning and the hybrid mobile learning have been widely used in teaching and learning.In spite of this,the lack of high quality resources and learning effectiveness in mobile learning are obvious.The role of mobile learning has not been fully played because it requires high quality mobile learning resources.Improving the quality and content adaptation of mobile learning resources is the key to improve the learning effect.Learning engagement is the comprehensive activity state in which the learners behave actively in learning.It includes emotional engagement,cognitive engagement,and behavioral engagement.It regulates learner’s learning motivation,cognitive structure and learning behavior during the process of learning.In this study,we explored the design of mobile learning resources’ interface based on the perspective of learning engagement with aims to improve learners’ enthusiasm active participation and concentration;stimulate their learning motivation;encourage them to develop positive learning behaviors and optimize the mobile learning process.The research methods include literature research,questionnaire survey,expert evaluation,experimental research and so on.This study focuses on the overall situation and dynamic adjustment of learning engagement and aims to find out the learning engagement’ influence factors,the mechanism and the influence on the learning effect.Taking the learning engagement as the aim of the mobile learning resources’ interface design,we have reviewed the research on the field of mobile learning resources’ interface design and learning engagement.From the perspective of learning engagement,we explore the inherent rule of mobile learning resources’ interface design.In the process of research,we attached great importance to the innovation of research methods in order to enrich the theory and method system of the Language of Multimedia Design.On the basis of theoretical analysis and investigation,we clearly understand the main factors that affect the learning engagement in the mobile learning environment.We identified the influencial factors of high influence and high degree of intervention by expert evaluation.The influence factors are the attraction of the present form,help and feedback in time,good interaction,experience comfortness and friendly interface design.We proposed a hierarchical view of the design of the mobile learning resources interface design.The design of mobile learning resources is divided into three levels:"sensory layer","behavior layer" and "emotion layer".We classified the five double-high factors into three different levels.On this basis,we proposed mobile learning resource interface design strategies including interface layout design,learning scaffolding design,3D interface interaction design and interface color matching design.Through combining the eye movement experiment,the brain wave experiment with the traditional cognitive-behavioral experiment,we verified the correctness of the strategies and put forward the relevant rules of the mobile learning resources interfaces’ design according to the experimental conclusion.The interface layout design:The difference in the layout is mainly reflected in the present order of knowledge content,the choice of learning path and the use of navigation.In terms of learning content cutting and block layout,the label layout design has advantages witch are beneficial for the presentation of contents.It can fully mobilize the enthusiasm and initiative of the learners,and improve their learning engagement and learning effect.The learning scaffolding design:When learning scaffold information is presented in different sensory channels,the learners can effectively integrate the information according to their cognitive process which may promote better understanding and absorption of the knowledge.When learning scaffolds are presented with visual form,the information description should be as concise as possible to reduce learner’s information overload caused by excessive scaffold information and content information.When the information of the scaffold is presented in the aural form,the information description should be as detailed as possible in order that the learners can get more information through the auditory channel.When the information of the scaffold is presented in the visual and aural form,there is no significant difference in the degree of details about the information description,which can be selected according to the needs.At the same time,we need to consider the impact of the learning scaffolding position on the learner’s attention and operational behavior.The 3D interactive interface design:The three-dimensional interactive interface can help the learners to observe the learning objects through a multidimensional perspective.It can significantly increase the learning time and behavioral engagement of the learners.At the same time,it requires learners to learn harder and longer,so the learners tend to be sleepy in the learning process.As are result there is no significant advantage in promoting emotional engagement.The selection sequence of the design scheme is as follows:Tablet computer with 3D interactive is the best.Smartphone with 3D interactive is the second.Smartphone without three dimensional interactive is the third.Tablet computer without three dimensional interactive is the last.When designing mobile learning resources,we should give priority to the use of three-dimensional interaction mode.At the same time,it is better to use larger screen mobile devices,for witch learners can operate more freely and accurately.The interface color matching design:For learners,appropriate color matching of background and key content can increase attractiveness of learning materials,optimize learning experience,improve learning concentration,reduce the difficulty of information recognition,lessen cognitive load,and improve learning effectiveness.Contrast colors collocation can improve the efficiency of information acquisition.Warm color background,cool color key content matching are the most optional ones,then cool color background and warm color key content.At the same time,designers ought to avoid the negative effect of color matching.The regression analysis of experimental research data shows that learning engagement is an important factor that affects learning process which has a significant positive impact on learning effect that varies for interface design strategy.The prediction function of learning engagement on learning effect is adjusted by the picture design of mobile learning resources interface.Learning engagement has a significant positive impact on learning outcomes.In general,the stronger learning motivation,the more learning engagements,the better learning effect of witch the predictive power of cognitive engagement and behavioral engagement is stronger.In this study,we used the triangulation method that combined the brain wave data,eye movement data and questionnaire data witch confirmed each other.It explains the influence of mobile learning resources ’interface design on learners’ learning engagement and learning effect from multiple dimensions.At the same time,the data of learning motivation,learning engagement and learning effect also form the triangulation and confirm each other.They reflect the influence of the mobile learning resources interface design on the learning engagement,the learning process and the learning effect in a three-dimensional and dynamic way.To a certain extent,it enriches and expands the research ideas and methods of the Language of Multimedia Design.
