There is a natural connection between Female and the teacher career,but for the academic of the faculty profession,women had used to be rejected out of the academic profession for long term.With the society developed,women get the opportunity to go to the university to receive high education and became university teacher since 20th century.More and more female became university teachers and the percentage is about 50%in recent years.As the later comer,female burst into this traditional area that belong to male previously,that university teacher is "science as a vocation,science as a life",how does the present situation of the academic development of female teachers?How about the prospect of the female academic development?What factors that the female academic development be influenced?What different factors between male and female teachers?Whether the female academic Development has their features and phases?As the senior intellectuals group,female university teachers have strong development requirement demand than other female groups.On the other hand,as women,the female teachers could not be separated from the stumble of traditional female roles;the family burden could not be relieved and weaken for the female teachers.The female university teachers feel much pressure in the conflict of family and the profession.Analyzing every power of the female academic development,stimulating their academic development motivation and promoting their professional development expectation,and designing the policies and society system,establishing more equal and inclusive gender system,those measures have more important meaning and significance to the female academic development.This PhD dissertation use both the quantitative and qualitative research methods,concentrate on the present situation,the existing problems and influence factors of the female academic development from the perspective of the social gender.Questionnaire investigation is used to know and understand the academic competency of the female university teachers,and apply the means of factors analysis to analyze the influence factors and research deeply,find the deep unequal factors of system and structure,and organization management,the subject environment and gender difference,how do those factors works to control the development of female teachers?At the last part of the dissertation,the rational paradigm and the measures could be concerned.This dissertation consists of five chapters.Chapter I Introduction,based on the thinking in reality,put forward the research questions,and collects and organized the existing research results,established the core concept and theoretical foundation,determined the perspective of social gender and methods.Chapter II History Review:the history of the academic development of female university teachers.Form the features of China university,investigate the beginning of the female that have the right to accept the high education,and divided into three phases.In the last part of this chapter,exposed the related macro date of present situation of female teachers'academic development.Chapter ? Present situation Investigation:considering female teachers' academic development in reality.According to the self-made questionnaire on female teachers academic competencies and the current existing problems studied.Chapter ? factors analysis:The influence factors of female teachers' academic development.Use the factors analysis methods to study the influence factors,found that the personal factors,the organizational environment factors,the family factors,the gender factors and social support factors.Based on the factors analysis,visited several female teachers who have different and typical professional development characteristics,to expose the deeper factors.Chapter V countermeasures suggestion:connected with previous results,the study attempts to put forward the basic strategies from nation,society and female teachers to improve through exploratory factor analysis to investigate the effect factors of female academic profession development.And the last part is the summary and expectation of this dissertation.Focus on the group of the female university teachers,this dissertation breakthrough the previous study concentrate on the senior intellectuals characteristics such as "success","strong",exposed the really situation of the female university teachers to the public,then looking forward to cause the concentration and resonance of the insider and outsider,and interpret the reasons and strategies from society and system.Surely,studying the female's development,it is impossible to neglect the public opinion of the gender conception in society and that the female university teachers are far away from the social gender restriction is impossible.Because of the common women,they do not have the super talent and perseverance.So this dissertation is eatablished in the reality of Chinese female faculty academic development,and combined the theory with evidence,to study the influence factors and problems of the female faculty academic development,and put forward the improvement strategies.
