Nowadays,social integration issues of the new generation of migrant workers have entered to scholars' s awareness under the environment of rapid development of industrialization and urbanization.The new generation of migrant workers plays a vital role on urbanization process and even harmonious and healthy development of entire economic society,especially be with great strategic significance on eliminating the new dual structure of the city,tapping into the demographic dividend,expanding domestic demand,maintaining economic growth,etc.However,the employment of new generation of migrant workers in China is in the sub-labor market,the stability of employment in the city is low,the career development is difficult,the basic life is difficult to guarantee,and the integration into the urban society is even more unreachable.One of the main reasons for this situation is the hardship in employability under the multiple-factor structuralization.The improvement of the employability of the new generation of migrant workers is the driving force for obtaining urban employment and achieving professional upward mobility,and is also an important guarantee for the social integration of this group.Therefore,it is an important task for the academic community to explore the structure,basic status,impact on social integration and development strategies of employabilitythe new generation of migrant workers.This study takes the new generation of migrant workers as the research object,based on the domestic and foreign achievements as well as the employment ability and social integration theory,in terms of methods on interviewing,questionnaire,exploratory factor analysis,confirmatory factor analysis,regression analysis etc.In addition,a new generation of migrant workers employment capacity scale has been developed,with a descriptive analysis of the new generation of migrant workers employment capacity.Still,a new generation of migrant workers social integration index system had been built,and its society integration was comprehensively evaluated.What is more,the research analyzed impact of the employability of the new generation of migrant workers on their social integration,and put forward research hypotheses,then built a theoretical model then tested them.At last,a suggestion on policy-making of improvement of employment ability of the new generation of migrant workers could promote their social integration had been proposed.The main contents of this paper are as follows:The development of the employability dimension and scale of the new generation of migrant workers based on four methods.First,based on the semi-structured interview method,with reference to expert opinions,the structure of the new generation of migrant workers' employability have been constructed;secondly,based on the questionnaire survey,using exploratory factoranalysis to expore the employment capacity of the new generation of migrant workers including human capital,social network,occupational cognitive ability,adaptability and learning ability;the third is the reliability analysis on the employment ability scale shows that the reliability of the total capacity scale and the five subscales reaches an excellent level;The fourth is the results of confirmatory factor analysis tests the validity scale of the employment ability scale show that the twenty-five measured indicators are terrific on the load of the human capital,social network,occupational cognitive ability,adaptive ability,learning ability load,and the factor structure of employability has been verified.Descriptive analysis and difference test on the employability of the new generation of migrant workers.The first is a descriptive statistical analysis of the employment capacity of the new generation of migrant workers,The results show that the scores of the new generation of migrant workers' employability measurement are basically at a medium level,and the recognition of all employability questions does not reach the level of “consent”.The average of the five dimensions of employability is around the median.Except for the human capital dimension,which is the left-biased low-peak distribution,the other dimensions are left-biased and narrow-peak distribution.On the whole,the highest average score is the professional cognitive ability,followed by the learning ability,social network and human capital scores are basically the same,and the lowest is the adaptive ability.The second is to make a significant test analysis of the differences in the employment ability of the new generation of migrant workers.The results show that in addition to the adaptability and learning ability,there are no gender differences in the other three dimensions of the new generation of migrant workers;the new generation of migrant workers with different ages have significant differences in adaptability;the new generation of migrant workers with different working years have significant differences in human capital and social networks,and there are no significant differences in the other three dimensions;there are no significant differences in professional cognition of the new generation of migrant workers in different industries;there are significant differences in the five dimensions of the new generation of migrant workers with different occupational mobility frequencies;the new generation of migrant workers in different input areas only have no significant differences in the adaptive capacity dimension.The paper analyzes the social integration measurement index system and current situation of the new generation of migrant workers.The first is to construct a measurement index system for the social integration of the new generation of migrant workers,especially for the psychological integration of the new generation of migrant workers,and to prepare a psychological integration measurement scale suitable for the new generation of migrant workers in China.After relevant statistical tests,the scale reachs relavant reliability and validity;secondly,statistical analysis of the status and group differences of their economic integration,social participation integration,cultural integration,psychological integration;third,the use of principal component analysis based on the construction of the previous indicator system,data obtained from the questionnaire survey to calculate the economic integration,social participation integration,cultural integration and psychological integration of the new generation of migrant workers,and finally obtains thecomprehensive evaluation result of social integration;fourth,comparative analysis of the demographic characteristics of migrant workers' social integration.The influence of the employability of the new generation of migrant workers on social integration is analyzed and tested empirically.First,based on relevant theories and interview results,the research qualitatively analyzes the influence of employability on social integration,puts forward research hypotheses and builds a theoretical model.Second,the Pearson correlation analysis is used to describe the relationship between the dimensions of the new generation of migrant workers' employability and the indicators of social integration.It shows that the dimensions of employability and social integration are significantly positively correlated at the0.01 level.The third is to use the stepwise multiple regression model to empirically analyze the direct impact of different dimensions of employment ability of the new generation of migrant workers on economic integration,social participation integration,cultural integration and psychological integration,and overall social integration.The results show that the five dimensions of employability have a significant positive impact on economic integration and total social integration;social networks,human capital and adaptive capacity have a significant positive impact on social participation;adaptive capacity,human capital,professional cognitive ability Learning ability have a significant positive impact on cultural integration;adaptability,social network,human capital,and professional cognitive ability have a significant positive impact on psychological integration.Fourth,mediating effect test model is used to verify that employment performance plays a intermediary role between employability and economic integration,social participation integration,cultural integration,psychological integration and total social integration.Policy recommendations for improving the employability of the new generation of migrant workers.The employability of the new generation of migrant workers determines the level and quality of their social integration.In order to better enhance the employability of the new generation of migrant workers and effectively exert their employability to promote the social integration of the new generation of migrant workers,the research proposes suggestions like investing in the human capital of the new generation of migrant workers,reconstructing the social network of the new generation of migrant workers,cultivating psychological capital to improve the adaptability of the new generation of migrant workers,guiding the new generation of migrant workers to adjust their employment and career planning,and constantly improving the employability of the new generation of migrant workers.The innovation of this research is to develop a measure scale of employability which conforms to national conditions and the characteristics of the new generation of migrant workers.Strict statistical tests have been conducted for scales,which show good content validity and construct validity.The questionnaire is a practical measurement tool for localization,which can provide tool support for future researches.Secondly,it establishes a index system of social integration of new generation of migrant workers measurement,and comprehensive evaluation of social integration through factor analysis.The third is to compile a psychological integration perception measurement scale for the new generation of migrant workers in China,the scale hasgood reliability and validity after testing,which can provide theoretical reference and operability measurement tools for related research.Fourth,this research verifies the impact of employability dimensions of the new generation of migrant workers on social integration indicators and the overall social integration based on the stepwise multiple linear regression method,and the mediating effect of employment performance on the new generation of migrant workers' employability and social integration was also investigated.This research discusses the direct and indirect impact of the employability of the new generation of migrant workers on social integration from both theoretical and empirical aspects,It is an supplement and useful advancement of existing research.
