Research On The Improvement Of The Employment Ability Of The New Generation Migrant Workers From The Perspective Of Social Work

New generation of migrant peasant workers refers to those rural household population who was born in the 1980s and over 16 years old residence, They do not engage in agricultural production activities in the rural areas, but to enter the city and engaged in non-farm economic activities. They have a strong desire to integrate into the city, but the employment ability is an important factor affecting their integration into the city. Therefore, it is of great significance to improve the employment ability of the new generation of migrant workers to promote migrant workers into the city and the integration of urban and rural construction.This thesis uses the methods of qualitative research, case study and interviewing to gather information of new generation of migrant peasant workers’employability from the perspective of social work. The author analyzed the relevant literature of domestic new generation of migrant peasant workers’ employability,The study found that the new generation of migrant workers in urban area whose employment capability is insufficient, lack of a high degree of professional identity, social capital and human capital stock is low, lack of individual psychological motivation and work flow of higher problem social policy support. The reasons for these problems include the factors of peasant workers’ individual aspects and the factors of the system.On the basis of the analysis of the causes of the problems, this paper discusses the strategies to enhance the employability of migrant workers of the new generation of social work intervention, emphasize to social work professional concept and service method, through advocacy to improve ability of the new generation of migrant workers employment policy, build the new generation of migrant workers social capital, enhance human capital of the new generation of migrant workers, the improvement of the new generation of migrant workers in the social psychological status, etc., enhance the employability of the new generation of migrant workers, to promote to integrate into urban society.
