Research On Employment Issues Of New Generation Of Migrant Workers

As China's economy develops,the rural population gradually transfers to the cities and is employed in cities.Because of the special household registration system in our country,the process of the rural population's transformation to the city population has been hindered,therefore,"migrant worker",the special community with Chinese characteristics,has appeared.At present,migrant workers born in 1980's have gradually become the main body,known as the "new generation of migrant workers".As they grew up in very different environments from the old generation,their current employment status,characteristics and problems are completely different.First of all,this paper uses the method of literature review to collect and read the literature about the employment of the new generation at home and abroad,and summarizes the methods and shortcomings of the predecessors' researches,and discusses them in depth.On the basis of summarizing the research results of other scholars' on the employment of the new generation of migrant workers,this paper absorbs experience to analyze the current employment status,and makes breakthroughs in the study of the new generation of migrant workers,analyzing influence factors of employment status by variable inspection and giving the corresponding countermeasure.Secondly,taking Yanzhou District of Jining city in Shandong Province as a case,this paper adopts statistical analysis method,getting the original data of the new generation of migrant workers' employment from the local human resources and social security department and statistics department,statistically analyzes the employment situation in this area of the new generation of migrant workers,and elaborates the details from the total amount and size,age and gender,source areas,industry structure and employment paths.Due to the special growth environment of the new generation of migrant workers,this group has some typical characteristics,which will be described from the characteristics of social security,income and expenditure,and personal competitiveness.Also,this paper analyzes the essential reasons of inequality of employment,unconspicuous effect of vocational training and high possibility of unemployment from the subjective and objective points of view.Again,this paper uses the method of questionnaire investigation and variables inspection,issuing paper questionnaires to 500 migrant workers of the new generation in Yanzhou District of Jining city to obtain first-hand statistics,and then analyzes the data to study the demographic characteristics,human resources and social resources'effect of the migrant workers to employment motivation,employment channels and employment choices.From the analysis results,education,computer skills and Party membership have significant impacts on the part of the employment motivation;gender,marriage,education,Putonghua level,training,friends in workplace,Party membership and spouse working together have significant influence on the part of the employment channels;gender,education,qualification certificates,Putonghua level,computer skills,training and Party membership have significant impacts on the part of employment choices.Fourth,on the basis of the above analysis,this article puts forward the corresponding countermeasures from six aspects,that is,local economic and social development plans,improving the education and training skills,improving the employment mechanism and public service equalization,the household registration system,promoting entrepreneurship and innovation,strengthening spiritual culture life.Finally,the paper generalizes the whole content of this study.And aiming at the deficiency of this paper,the future study prospects are put forward.
