As a widespread theory and practice of education,moral education plays an indispensable role in the system of education.In pluralist culture under the background of how to make a batch of American colleges and universities to adapt to the technology development,market freedom,political democracy of high-quality talent,thanks to a set of effective methods of moral education in universities.Adhere to the marxist historical materialism is presented in this paper,under the guidance of the integrated use of literature search,interview survey,history,induction,case analysis and interdisciplinary research methods,methods of the historical process of moral education in colleges and universities to the United States,theory background,the main method and method of concrete
