As a unified multi-ethnic country,education for national unity is a national educational undertaking and work that the Communist Party of China and the state have always attached great importance to.Strengthening the education of national unity is one of the core contents of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and an important project for building a great cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.Carrying out national unity education for special regions and specific groups is a historical experience and important work for the Communist Party of China to carry out the cause of national unity and progress.Under the background of the new era,this study,guided by Marx theory,persisted in the principle of linking theory with practice,and taking the model of national national unity and progress-the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region as an example,to study the national unity education of college students in minority areas.First of all,this study mainly combed and condensed the thought and discussion about the national unity education of the classic Marx writers and the main leaders of the Communist Party of China,and insisted on the theory of Marx doctrine as the basic guiding theory of the study of national unity education for college students in minority areas.Secondly,this study adheres to the principle of consistent logic and history,and focuses on the historical development of the practice of national unity education for college students in ethnic minority areas since the founding of People's Republic of China.It is divided into six stages: the infant phase,the starting stage,the pausing phase,the recovering phase and since The 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.In the more than 60 years since the founding of the people's Republic of China,relevant practice and experiences of national unity education of college students in the minority areas attributes as follows: great attention and normal execution,local conditions and cultural influence;change with time and background,online and offline courses,examples and demonstration and multi-dimensional education.Third,this study adheres to qualitative and quantitative research methods,and conducts an empirical study on the status of university students' national solidarity in Guangxi.This study suggests that the national unity literacy of college students is mainly composed of four elements: national unity cognition,national unity emotion,national unity awareness and national unity behavior.It shows that national unity education in colleges and universities in Guangxi is generally good,among them,national unity behavior,national unity awareness,national unity emotion and national unity cognition weakens successively.And college students of different classes differ concerning their national unity quality.This suggests that the vast majority of college students in Guangxi have higher level of national unity from relevant cognition to concrete actions.From this,it could be concluded that national unity education in Guangxi is effective.Fourth,based on the analysis of the current situation of university students' national unity education in Guangxi,this study finds out the existing problems and analyzes the influencing factors.The main problems are: lack of national unity cognition,cold national unity emotion,weakening national unity awareness and improper national unity behaviors.The main influence factors includes loss of national unity education subjects,external impacts,old contents,disconnecting management,monotonous methods and weak guarantee system.Finally,aiming at the problems existing in the education of ethnic unity among ethnic minority students in minority areas,this study puts forward the following corresponding countermeasures.Mainly,it includes strengthening the responsibility of national unity education subjects,improving national unity education management,enriching national unity education contents,innovating national unity education methods and strengthening national unity education guarantee.To sum up,this study,taking the college students in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region as the research object,from the analysis of the overall situation of College Students' national unity education,finds out the existing problems and analyzes the influencing factors,and then puts forward the basic countermeasures for the national unity education of the College Students in the minority areas in the new period.This not only helps to enrich and develop the theory of national unity education for college students in minority areas,but also helps to enhance the harmonious ethnic relations in minority areas,and is more conducive to the promotion of social,economic and cultural construction and in-depth reform in minority areas,and is conducive to safeguarding stability,solidarity,harmony and unity of minority areas and countries.
