"Coordinated development" is one of the "five major development ideas" proposed in the fifth Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee.Experience at home and abroad has proved that there is a close relationship between the investment of transportation infrastructure,the construction of urbanization and the upgrading of the industry.The coordinated development of the three can achieve mutually promoting positive feedback cycle,which is conducive to the development of high quality economy.On the contrary,if the three are not coordinated,they may form a short board effect in a certain area,which seriously restricts the sustained and healthy development of the regional economy.Since the reform and opening up,China’s transportation infrastructure,urbanization and industrial development has made considerable progress,but there are still some problems in transportation infrastructure investment,urbanization and industrial development in China.There are significant differences in the degree of coordinated development in different regions,and become an important factor affecting the economic development differences in different regions.At present,the main contradiction of our society has been transformed into the contradiction between the people’s growing good life and the imbalance and the insufficient development.The phase changes of economic and social development put forward new and higher requirements for the coordinated development of the three people in the transportation infrastructure investment,the urbanization and the industrial upgrading.It is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the coordinated development of the three types of transportation infrastructure investment,urbanization and industrial upgrading,to provide theoretical basis for government departments to formulate relevant policies.This dissertation will attempt to apply the coupling theory and synergy theory to economic analysis with the theories of national economics,investment,econometrics and economic geography,construct an economic system consisting of investment,urbanization and industrial upgrading of traffic infrastructure,analyze the mechanism between the three,calculate the coordination degree in different regions,and study the key factors that affect the coordination degree,and provide theoretical basis for government departments to formulate relevant policies.The contents of this dissertation include:reviewing the development and existing problems of China’s transportation infrastructure investment,urbanization and industrial upgrading,studying the mechanism and influence mechanism of the three parties,constructing the evaluation index system and evaluation model of the coupling coordination degree,calculating the coupling coordination degree and the influencing factors of the 31 provincial administrative areas,and putting forward policy suggestions.Besides the introduction,there are six chapters in this paper.The main contents of each chapter are as follows:Introduction.It mainly introduces the research background and significance,research ideas and contents,methods and technical routes,innovation and deficiency are introducedThe first chapter introduces concept definition literature review and theoretical basis.Meanwhile the dissertation defines the core concept of investment in transport infrastructure,urbanization and upgrading of regional industrial structure,summarizing the literature on the relationship between them.The dissertation explains the basic principles of the theory of synergy and coupling,their applications in the economic field,then makes a brief evaluation.The second chapter analyses the historical investigation and current situation of China’s transportation infrastructure investment,urbanization and regional industrial upgrading.the dissertation reviews and describes the development of transport infrastructure,urbanization and industrial structure upgrading Since China’s reform and opening up,and pointing out the main problems in the development of the three.The third chapter analyses the mechanism of coordinated development among transport infrastructure investment,urbanization and regional industrial upgrading.Firstly,theoretical analysis is made on the mechanism of the coordinated development of the three.Secondly,the interactivity relationship among the three is tested by using the space metering method.The fourth chapter measures the degree of coordination among China’s transport infrastructure investment,urbanization and regional industrial upgrading.Building transportation infrastructure investment,urbanization and regional industrial upgrading"coupling coordination degree evaluation index system" and "coupling coordination degree evaluation model",the empirical analysis of the three coupling coordination degree.The fifth Chapter analyses the factors affecting the coordination degree of transportation infrastructure investment,urbanization and regional industrial upgrading.To establish a first-level and second-level index system that affects the coordination degree of the three,and analyze the important economic and social factors that affect the coordination degree of transportation infrastructure investment,urbanization and regional industrial upgrading.The sixth chapter is about conclusions and recommendations.First,summarize the main contents and conclusions of the thesis.Second,we will start with the improvement of infrastructure investment,the implementation of the "people-centered" new urbanization,the promotion of capacity adjustment and optimization and upgrading,and put forward corresponding policy recommendations.Finally,the dissertation’s shortcomings and the problems to be further studied are explained.The study led to the following conclusions:First,transportation infrastructure investment,urbanization and industrial upgrading of traffic infrastructure have obvious positive externalities.The investment of transportation infrastructure promotes the urbanization and industrial upgrading,and there is a spatial agglomeration effect.Urbanization also has a strong impetus to the investment of transportation infrastructure and the upgrading of industry.The effect of industrial upgrading on transportation infrastructure investment is not obvious,which may be related to the phasing characteristics of transportation infrastructure in China.Second,transportation infrastructure investment has obvious spatial imbalance effect.No matter the total volume,growth rate or per capita volume,the eastern region is higher than the central region,higher than the western region,and the transportation infrastructure investment has a "multi-center" pattern,concentrating on the main urban clusters.Although there are differences in the rate of urbanization rate in each region,the overall trend is upward.The industrial structure of various regions is constantly upgrading,and the overall trend is upwardThird,there is a stable and continuous interaction between the investment of transportation infrastructure,urbanization and industrial upgrading.In the past ten years,the coordination degree of the three is continuously optimized and overall rising,and a stable "self consistent" mechanism exists between the three people in the long run.From 2006 to 2016,the number of provinces located in the "advanced coordination area"increased from 4 to 27,accounting for 12.9%to 87.1%.It has increased by 74.2 percentage points.Among them,the proportion of "good coordination" and "high quality coordination"accounted for 61.29%,accounting for over half.Fourth,the coupling coordination degree shows the regional difference from east to west,from superior to inferior.In the eastern region,the coupling coordination degree is high,the "high grade coordination interval" province is larger,the central region is the second,the northeast is followed,and the western region is last.The coupling and coordination degree between transportation infrastructure investment,urbanization and industrial upgrading has inertia.Once inertia is formed,it will remain for quite a long time.Fifth,the impact of transportation infrastructure investment on the coordination of the three is continuous and accumulative.When the transportation infrastructure investment project starts,it will start to promote labor force inflow and industrial structure upgrading.When the transportation infrastructure investment project is completed,its economic effect will continue to drive economic growth.Whether in the current or early stage,there is a certain coupling relationship between transportation infrastructure investment and urbanization and regional industrial upgrading.This coupling coordination relationship will increase with the increase of transportation infrastructure stock.Sixth,the coordination degree of transportation infrastructure investment,urbanization and regional industrial upgrading is mainly affected by economic factors,and the level of economic development is the key factor of the coordination degree.There is a positive correlation between the expenditure of per capita education funds,the growth of the scale of social financing,the per capita local financial income and the degree of coordination.There is no significant relationship between the level of scientific and technological innovation and the degree of coordination.This may be because there is a certain uncertainty in whether patent authorization can be converted into income.Seventh,there are certain differences in the influencing factors of the co scheduling among different regions.The economic factors have a significant positive impact on the coordination degree of different regions.The eastern region is also affected by educational and technological factors.The central region is mainly influenced by fiscal revenue.The western region is similar to the eastern region,which is mainly influenced by educational and technological factors.Eighth,the coordination degree of transportation infrastructure investment,urbanization and regional industrial upgrading has a great impact on the current period.The coordination degree presents a spiral rising state,because the coordination degree of the current period will be adjusted and improved on the basis of the earlier coordination degree.The inertia effect of the coordination degree is not an irreversible process.When the effect of the reaction is large,it may lead to the regression of the coordination degree.Therefore,we should continue to push forward their development and balance their pace of development and avoid the "short board effect" caused by the lag of a certain factor.The main innovations of the dissertation are as follows:First,transportation infrastructure investment,urbanization and regional industrial upgrading is an economic system.This dissertation studies the interaction mechanism,coordination relationship and degree of coordination between the three factors,to a certain extent,make up for the limitations of the past literature only to study the relationship between them.Second,the current domestic literature on economic methodology using coupling is relatively small,but in reality there are economic system composed of three or more elements are often complex,dynamic,high order time-varying system,using the mathematical analysis method is difficult to characterize the whole system reflect.In this paper,the coupling theory is used to make an empirical analysis of the economic system consisting of investment in transportation infrastructure,urbanization and industrial upgrading,so that the research perspective is more three-dimensional and the conclusion is more reliable.Third,the dissertation use empirical research methods to establish spatial econometric models,test the interaction of three elements,establish the coupling coordination degree evaluation model based on the capacity coupling theory,establish panel data model,analyze the influencing factors,and make the analysis results more convincing.Fourth,on the classification of the research objects,the traditional classification methods are further improved.According to the difference of regional economy in China,the three eastern,middle and western regions are improved to the eastern,central,Western and northeast regions,which makes the interpretation of the research objects more targeted.According to the overall distribution characteristics of the coupling and coordination degree between the three aspects of transportation infrastructure investment,urbanization and regional industrial upgrading,the traditional coordination degree "ten level classification" is extended to the three interval classification method,so that we can grasp the research objects more macroscopic.
