There is no doubt that the market plays an important role in regional economic growth.Since the reform and opening up,the continuous and rapid growth of our country's economy is closely related to the market-oriented reform and the policy of opening to the outside world.Under the background of the new normal economy,China's economic growth is decreasing from high speed to middle speed.The key to future trend prediction lies in the potential capacity of economic growth.The market as the main carrier of economic growth,the influence of its potential on China's economic growth should not be underestimated.Since the new economic geography has incorporated spatial elements into the general equilibrium analysis framework,the geospatial effect of economic growth has become a hot issue in academic circles.With the guidance of the theory of economic growth and the new economic geography,the paper employs the multidisciplinary theory of geography,regional economics and quantitative economics,and probes into the internal influence and mechanism of the spatial effect of market potential on regional economic growth,through the empirical study of 285 prefecture level cities in China from 2004 to 2015 by means of spatial measurement,non parametric estimation,threshold effect regression and so on,and then the practical problems of market potential to the spatial effect of regional economic growth are analyzed,and some relevant policy suggestions are put forward.The first chapter is the introduction of the paper.It mainly expounds the background and significance of the paper,the research area,the method and the technology route,and reviews and comments on the related literature both at home and abroad.The second chapter is the definition of the related concepts and the theoretical basis of the thesis.This chapter defines the important concepts of market potential,space effect and so on,and sorts out the classical theory related to the research of paper,which is the important theory support of the thesis.The third chapter is the theoretical analysis of the spatial effect of market potential on regional economic growth.First,based on the theory of new economic geography,the causality between market potential and regional economic growth is analyzed,and the related problems of market potential are expounded based on the theory of dynamic comparative advantage analysis.Secondly,the spatial effect theory of market potential to regional economic growth is explained and analyzed.Finally,this paper expounds the mechanism of the effect of market potential on the spatial effect of regional economic growth,which are the basic function of the spatial correlation effect,the polarization function of the spatial agglomeration effect,the diffusion function of spatial spillover effect,and the interaction mechansimof the three kinds of spatial effects.The fourth chapter analyzes the measurement and influencing factors of market potential.First,the paper introduces the traditional classical market potential model,and expands and revises it by joining the Internet factors and decomposing it according to its spatial sources.Secondly,based on the revised market potential model,we analyze the evolution process of spatial and temporal patterns of domestic market potential and foreign market potential under three spatial scales of regional,provincial and prefecture level cities.Finally,the influence factors of the market potential are the divided into three types,including geographical factors,new economic geography factors and institutional factors.The fifth chapter is an empirical study of the spatial effect of market potential on regional economic growth.This part analyzes the spatial correlation effect,spatial agglomeration effect and spatial spillover effect of market potential on regional economic growth respectively,and discusses the spatial characteristics of each spatial effect.Among them,the market potential is adjacent to attenuation and distance attenuation effect on the spatial correlation of regional economic growth,agglomeration has three threshold effect,and the spatial spillover effect of domestic market potential and foreign market potential is replaced,and the range of spatial spillover has obvious regularity.The sixth chapter analyzes the problems of the spatial effects of market potential on regional economic growth,and puts forward some relevant policy recommendations.This part first analyzes the basic characteristics of the spatial effect of market potential on regional economic growth,including systematic,dynamic,spatial,open,and feedback.Secondly,based on the three effects of spatial association,spatial agglomeration and space spillover,this paper analyzes the main existing problems,and puts forward relevant policy suggestions for these problems.The last part is the conclusion and prospect of the thesis,including the basic conclusions and innovations,research limitations and future prospects.
