Under the current situation of a global climate change and the problems that China and many other counties have suffering from a terrible fog haze,Carbon Capture and Storage(CCS)technology has received high attention by countries around world as an important mean to tackle climate change.While,at present,the CCS technology is facing challenges of many different aspects in its development process,such as technological,lawful,economic issues etc.Thus,seeking economic feasible means and effective paths of innovation cooperation has become a focus in the process of developing CCS technology around the world and the common voice of seeking cooperation in the international community.At present,China has been energetically developing CCS technologies and actively promoting the technological innovation cooperation in the field of CCS.In this context,this paper integrates the theories of technology innovation,cooperative innovation knowledge sharing,adopts the methods of social network analysis,comparative study,a combination of normative research and empirical research,and case study to study the mechanism and paths of technological innovation cooperation in the field of CCS.The main achievements of this dissertation are show as below:Firstly,a global CCS cooperation network and a Chinese CCS cooperation network are established respectively.Through measuring the network indicators,the network characteristics are analyzed to identify key technology holders and exploit the cooperation relationship between important organizations at home and abroad.The result shows that the overall relationship around the world is not wide and the cooperation intensity is imbalance,Japanese companies have more cooperative relations.Within China,the vast majority of Chinese CCS organizations adopt the way of independent R&D.Chinese Academy of Sciences and Sinopec Group have very high status in the field of CCS in China and have certain relations of cooperation.Secondly,the paths of R&D international cooperation are measured through SHII and SHAI index,and the paths of technology application international cooperation are measured by the cooperation rate index.The result shows that in the field of CCS,the paths of R&D cooperation are multi-dimensional.The European and U.S.CCS organizations tend to adopt the paths of international cooperation on R&D and R&D in other nations.Japanese organizations are more likely to adopt the way of independent R&D.Most organizations cooperate on technology application,but the cooperation is within one country.In China,there is no international cooperation of patents both on R&D and application.The current internationalization of CCS technology is very low.By establishing technology correlation network of China's major CCS organization,it is found that Sinopec Group have more potential technological cooperation opportunities with foreign CCS enterprises with advanced technologies.Tiredly,through the study on the transnational innovation cooperation modes of CCS technology,it is found that the cooperation modes of existing CCS organizations are diverse.According to the different ways of cooperation,there are modes of multinational R&D cooperation,R&D in other nations and jointly owned.Based on the number and distribution of different cooperation objects,there are modes of single nation cooperation and global decentralized cooperation.In addition,it is also found that the diversity of international cooperation modes may result from home advantage,proximity factors and the CCS development policies to a certain extent.Fourthly,the applicability of patent pool in the field of CCS is analyzed by adopting an applicability analysis framework of patent pool.It is found that in Chinese CCS industry,the key subject elements are promoting the forming of patent pool form and the object elements are reaching maturity.In the three transaction attribute analysis of licensing deals,the uncertainty of the market and patent disputes,it is found that the CCS field has a high degree of interdependence between patent owners,patent licensing is high demanded;the uncertainty of the current technology market is high;there are large number of potential patent disputes;and multidimensional aggregation effect of patent pool can comply with the characteristics of CCS technology development.Thus,the establishment of a Chinese CCS patent pool is considered to be suitable and feasible,and then operation strategies and suggestions are put forward.Finally,a knowledge sharing model which consists three levels is established based on the SECI knowledge creation theory and the practical experience of European knowledge sharing platform.These three levels are knowledge sharing between Chinese CCS organizations,multinational CCS knowledge sharing,and knowledge sharing with CCS relevant institutions and the social public.Also,the operation strategies and suggestions are put forward.This model which complied with the current development status of CCS in China is expected to solve the difficulties and challenges encountered in CCS cooperation.It is not only for China,but also be able to spread to other CCS cooperation network worldwide in the future.
