Research On Relational Embeddedness,resource Acquisition And Evolution Path Of Network Organization

From the 1970s onwards,the global socio-economic environment has undergone earth-shaking changes,mainly manifested in the global economy tends to be integrated.This has led companies around the world to participate in the fierce competition in the global market;in the current economic environment,the as production activities become more and more complex,a single enterprise does not have enough resources to complete production.This requires the flow and distribution of different resources among enterprises.This will,to a certain extent,promote interdependence and close cooperation between enterprises.This also reflects the new characteristics of network organization evolution.For a long period of time,both scholars who study corporate networks and scholars who have studied the growth of companies have studied network organizations from a static perspective.Scholars focus on the enterprise network when they focus on the nature of the network itself,its functions,and governance mechanisms,as well as the strategic significance of the company's development in the network.There is little research on how the enterprise network evolves in the long term.Therefore,if we want to comprehensively and profoundly understand the process and path of network organization evolution and understand the significance of the development of inter-firm relationship to network evolution,we need to have an interactive relationship between individuals in the network and other organizations in the long-term and the evolution mechanism of network organization.Conduct in-depth research.These deficiencies and controversies of existing researches all indicate the urgency and importance of studying the evolution of corporate networks.On the basis of extensively drawing on domestic and foreign research results,this paper introduces the idea of relationship embedding into the research field of network organization evolution.Based on the expanded resource-based theory,the mechanism and path selection of network organization evolution from the perspective of relationship embedding is discussed.A more comprehensive analysis was carried out to construct a theoretical research framework that is both theoretically based and practical.This article's innovative research work has the following aspects.(1)Based on the theory of resource dependence,this paper analyzes the driving forces of network organization evolution and establishes a theoretical model of"relational embedding�resource acquisition�network evolution".It points out that the driving force of network organization is the demand for resource acquisition and Occupying the position of the structure hole realizes that the relationship between the demand for resource acquisition and the position of occupying the structure hole is mutually reinforcing.From a game theory point of view,for groups of organizations with resource needs,in the face of different resource needs,non-cooperative games with the groups of people with resources in the network,so the relationship between the two sides of the game is a kind of in a cooperative and competitive relationship,the use of non-cooperative game analysis can effectively avoid the theoretical paradox brought about by cooperative games,that is,the existence of free riders.Through non-cooperative games,the outcome of the game can bring an outcome that is beneficial to both parties,making them in the A relatively stable state.(2)This study divides relational embedding into three characteristic dimensions:structure dimension,relationship dimension,and cognitive dimension.It takes into account the mediating role of resource acquisition and reveals the influence of the evolution of network organization.An empirical study was conducted on 191 manufacturing enterprises in the high-tech zone of Jinan City.The confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling methods were used to measure the dimensions of the structure in three dimensions,namely network size,network strength,and network stability.The dimension of relationship is divided into three dimensions:mutual recognition,mutual trust,and reciprocal norms;and the cognitive dimension is divided into two dimensions:"the existence of similar values" and "having a common language to communicate with each other";Acquisition is mainly measured in terms of information acquisition,knowledge acquisition,and reputation acquisition.The degree of enterprise network is mainly measured by network centrality and network scale.The mechanism of relational embedding,which promotes the degree of network by positively affecting resource acquisition,is discussed,and the mediating role of resource acquisition in this process is confirmed.(3)Based on the research perspective of enterprise relationship embedding,this study proposes the cycle of relationship evolution in the process of network organization evolution.It divides the relationship evolution process into four phases,namely,contact and establishment of relationship,and extension of relationship.The infiltration of relationships and the integration of relationships,according to the different processes of relationship evolution,propose three paths for the evolution of network organization:the sequential evolution path,i.e.,the basic sequence of the evolution cycle according to the enterprise relationship:the contact and establishment of relationships-the relationship extension-the relationship penetration-the evolution of sequential relationships in relational integration;the leaping evolutionary path,that is,the path from the contact and establishment of relations to the extension of relations to the integration of relations,or from the contact and establishment of relations to the penetration of relations to the integration of relations In other words,when the evolution of the relationship reaches a certain period,due to the occurrence of a key event,the evolution of the relationship has jumped;the evolution path that directly reaches the position of the structural hole,that is,the contact and establishment of the relationship directly reaches the relationship integration Stage,due to the occurrence of certain major events,the evolution of the relationship has skipped the middle all the processes.
