In the nation's economic growth,the significance of technology and the growth of a viable advantage for companies cannot be over emphasized.It is obvious that in many developing and developed countries the higher educational institutions have been a main source of science and technology advancement.Therefore,the effective transfer of technology from higher educational institutions to companies or industry has been a vital concern on the behalf of governments and an appealing research topic on part of academics for more than two decades.The contemporary information society demands efficient knowledge management and therefore,the transfer of knowledge becomes an important issue.The purpose of this research is to contribute to the understanding of how the knowledge transfer in Science Parks takes place and which knowledge transfer supporting conditions are offered within the Science Park environment.Firms inside and outside of the science park increasingly acquire needed scientific technology,products and services from external and internal sources through the formation of partnerships.This dissertation revealed various aspects of knowledge acquisition by firm inside of the park and knowledge acquisition by firm outside of the park.This dissertation used a convenience sampling method The respondents of this dissertation were a mixture of firm inside and outside the park.The sample size was limited to 65 respondents from firm inside the park and 65 respondents form firm outside the park.
