The Influence Of Information Ecology Governance On Knowledge Integration Of Firms In Business Ecosystem

In the era of “Internet +”,companies can use information technology to establish closer and more efficient business collaboration with other companies to better realize value chain creation in response to customer needs and other rapid changes in market environment elements.These changes in the market environment based on the resource perspective(Resource-Based View)competitive advantage theory are suffering great challenges.In this context,business ecosystem provides a perspective for establishing new symbiotic relationships between firms.Business ecosystem aims at co-evolution,which not only helps firms achieve value creation,but also provides a symbiotic situation for the sustainable development of member companies.Knowledge shared by members of business ecosystem is an important source of external knowledge for system members.Making full use of business ecosystem information ecology context to promote the integration of external knowledge of firms is of great significance to realize the complementarity of internal and external knowledge of system member companies,enhance their own development capabilities and the overall evolution of the system.However,business ecosystem is a super-organization that lacks the formal incentive and restraint mechanisms of traditional bureaucratic powers,rules and regulations,contracts,etc.The coordination activities among system members depends on the coordination from informal mechanisms.Therefore,this study starts from the ecology governance of business ecosystem information and studies its specific impact on the knowledge integration of system member companies.This study first analyzes the information ecosystem of business ecosystem and its governance connotation,and then constructs a sub-model of the relationship among the constituents of system information ecology governance and that between these constituents and knowledge integration,and empirically testifies these models.Finally,through the modeling and simulation analysis of firm's knowledge integration process under the information ecology governance to explore the impact of relevant factors on knowledge growth.The main research work of this study is as follows:(1)Based on the analysis of the connotation,operation mechanism and governance risk of business ecosystem and its information ecology,this study systematically puts forward and expounds the complete content and dimension division of the information ecology governance of business ecosystem.On the basis of combing the connotation of business ecosystem,this study defines the concept of information ecology of business ecosystem,analyzes its components and development stages,and then expounds three types of system information ecology elements and their relationship: business ecology relationship chain construction,information sharingrelationship,information transmission relationship.Finally,in view of the particularity of the system information ecology,this study defines and analyzes the connotation of system information ecology governance.By analyzing the relationship between system information ecology governance and its governance risks and problems,it divides the sub-dimension of information ecology governance: The risk of change in chain relationship proposes three governance mechanisms: symbiotic mechanism,positioning mechanism and trust mechanism from the perspective of social capital.For information transfer problems,it proposes a solution path from IT integration capability and IT reset capability construction,aiming at information sharing.The solution path is proposed from formal information sharing and informal information sharing.(2)This study constructs a theoretical model of the impact of information ecology governance on firm knowledge integration in business ecosystem.In order to study the relationship of knowledge activities,this study refines information sharing governance into its subset——knowledge sharing governance,and then analyzes the three sub-dimensional constructs of relationship chain governance in system information ecology governance(including symbiotic mechanism,positioning mechanism,trust).Mechanism),IT capabilities construct of information transfer governance(including IT integration capability,IT reset capability),knowledge sharing sub-dimension construct of knowledge sharing governance(including formal knowledge sharing,informal knowledge sharing),and three aspects of knowledge integration The direct or indirect relationship between dimensions(socialization,collaboration,and systematic knowledge integration)proposes the corresponding relationship hypothesis,thus forming the theoretical model of this study.(3)This study empirically tests the relationship model of business ecosystem information ecology governance on firm knowledge integration.In this study,the questionnaire was designed according to the needs of the theoretical model,and the sample was selected for investigation.Then the descriptive statistical analysis,common method deviation test,reliability and validity analysis were carried out on the data obtained from the survey;then the theoretical model of knowledge integration relationship of member companies in business ecosystem was tested.Finally,the results of empirical test were analyzed and the corresponding management implications were expounded.(4)Through the establishment and analysis of the knowledge integration process model under the information ecology governance,this study reveals the influence of relevant factors on the growth of firm knowledge through the process of knowledge integration.Firstly,based on the SECI knowledge creation theory,this study analyzes the knowledge integration process in the system information ecology,and then builds the knowledge integration process model of the system member firms based on the Lotka-Volterra model(the knowledge integration process model under the symmetric symbiotic relationship and the partial symbiotic relationship).The equilibrium solution of the model is obtained by analyzing the two types of models,and the influence of knowledgeVII sharing ratio,knowledge integration ability and maximum knowledge stock on the firm knowledge stock is deduced.Finally,the knowledge sharing of information ecology governance elements such as knowledge sharing is verified by example analysis.The impact and analysis and discussion of the conclusions.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)This study shows that business ecosystem information ecology governance can be carried out from three aspects: business ecology relationship chain governance,information transfer governance,and knowledge sharing governance among system members.Among them,relationship chain governance is based on the perspective of corporate social capital.According to the lack of formal incentive and constraint mechanism in business ecosystem,the symbiosis mechanism,positioning mechanism and trust mechanism are carried out;information sharing governance is embodied in IT integration capability and IT reset capability construction;Shared governance can be carried out from two aspects: formal information sharing and informal information sharing.Among these three sub-dimensions,relationship chain governance is the foundation that can promote IT capacity building and knowledge sharing,while IT capacity building has a significant positive impact on knowledge sharing.(2)In the information ecology governance of business ecosystem,the symbiotic mechanism,positioning mechanism and trust mechanism in relational chain governance have a significant positive impact on IT capabilities and knowledge sharing,while IT capabilities have a significant positive impact on knowledge sharing.(3)The influence of information ecology governance on the knowledge integration of system member firms is reflected in: IT capabilities and knowledge sharing have a significant positive impact on knowledge integration;symbiotic mechanism and location mechanism in relationship chain governance have significant direct positive towards knowledge integration.Impact and significant indirect positive impact on knowledge integration through IT capabilities and knowledge sharing.Trust mechanisms have a significant direct positive impact on knowledge integration and a significant indirect impact on knowledge integration through knowledge sharing.(4)Considering the self-growth of knowledge within the system members,the analysis of the knowledge integration process model shows that the knowledge integration ability determines whether the firm knowledge stock equilibrium point exists and the knowledge stock size.When the knowledge stock equilibrium point exists among the system members,1)the knowledge sharing ratio and the maximum knowledge stock only affect the size of the final knowledge stock(i.e.the equilibrium point value).The proportion of knowledge sharing and the maximum knowledge stock are affected by the symbiotic mechanism,positioning mechanism and trust mechanism in the information ecology governance.2)When other factors are the same,the knowledge stock value when the firm integration under the symmetric mutual benefit symbiosis reaches the equilibrium point To be greater than the corresponding value under the symbiotic symbiosis,and thus the relative symbioticrelationship,the symmetric and mutually beneficial symbiotic relationship is more conducive to the promotion of knowledge integration and the growth of knowledge stock.The innovation of this research is reflected in the following four aspects:(1)Starting from the particularity of business ecosystem,this study defines the connotation of the information ecology of business ecosystem,deeply analyzes its internal relationship,elaborates its operational mechanism,scientifically divides the dimensions of information ecology governance.The research scope of the information ecology has been expanded,and the research on the internal relationship of the information ecosystem of business ecosystem has been enriched and deepened.(2)By establishing and testing the model of relationship chain governance,IT capabilities and knowledge sharing,this study reveals the interaction among the internal elements of information ecology governance in business ecosystem,enriches the research theories of information ecology governance in business ecosystem.(3)By establishing and verifying the relationship between business ecosystem information ecology governance and system member firm knowledge integration relationship,this study reveals the relationship chain governance IT capacity,knowledge sharing,knowledge integration and the complex direct and indirect effects of each sub-dimension in information ecology governance,and enriches the relevant theories of knowledge integration in business ecosystem.(4)Based on the species competition model,this study constructs business ecosystem knowledge integration process model.Through the analysis and example deduction,this study reveals the influence of related factors from information ecology governance on the growth of firm knowledge stock in the process of knowledge integration of members of business ecosystem,and enriches the research on the knowledge integration process in business ecosystem.
