Traditional economics has always assumed that the sole goal of enterprises is to maximize profits. However, with the advent of post-industrialization era, more and more attention has been paid to corporate social responsibility(CSR),which is the responsibility of ethics, environmental protection and improving social welfare, besides profit-making activities. There is a consensus in the public opinion that enterprises need to fulfill their social responsibility while pursuing profits.Corporate social responsibility is not only conducive to their own social image, but also conducive to the realization of corporate profits.Based on this background, this paper takes corporate social responsibility as the theme and conducts a questionnaire survey on Korean enterprises invested in China. It divides CSR behavior into responsive CSR behavior and strategic CSR behavior, and deeply analyses the factors affecting corporate social responsibility. At the same time, this study also divides corporate performance into financial performance and non-financial performance, and examines the specific impact of various CSR behaviors on corporate performance. Finally, this study also validates the moderating effect of localization in the above relationships. The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:First, the main factors affecting CSR behavior, such as market orientation, entrepreneurship orientation, network orientation, stakeholder influence and motivation to enter the host market, are analyzed.market orientation had a positive effect on both responsive and strategic CSR activities;entrepreneurial orientation has no significant impact on responsive CSR behavior and strategic CSR behavior;network orientation has no significant impact on responsive CSR behavior, but has a positive correlation with strategic CSR behavior;stakeholder influence has a positive correlation with responsive CSR behavior and strategic CSR behavior. The motivation of market entry for the purpose of entering the domestic market is positively correlated with both responsive CSR behavior and strategic CSR behavior.Second, market orientation and entrepreneurship orientation are partially positively correlated with corporate performance, but network orientation has no significant impact on corporate performance.Among them, there is a positive correlation between market orientation and non-financial performance, but there is no significant impact on financial performance;there is a positive correlation between entrepreneurship orientation and financial performance, but there is no significant impact on non-financial performance;network orientation has no significant impact on non-financial performance and financial performance.Third, both responsive CSR behavior and strategic CSR behavior have significant impact on non-financial performance. In addition, the influence of strategic CSR behavior on non-financial performance is greater than that of responsive CSR behavior. Moreover, there is a positive correlation between responsive CSR behavior and strategic CSR behavior and financial performance. In addition, the impact of strategic CSR behavior on financial performance is not greater than that of responsive CSR behavior. This is basically consistent with the previous research results, that is,the previous research results are also applicable to Korean enterprises invested in China.Lastly, the level of localization partially had a significant moderating effect between factor influencing CSR and CSR behavior.First, the level of localization partially had a significant moderating effect between market orientation and CSR behavior.Second, the level of localization had no significant moderating effect between entrepreneurial orientation and CSR behavior.Third, the level of localization partially had a significant moderating effect between network orientation and CSR behavior.Fourth, the level of localization partially had a significant moderating effect between stakeholder interests in a host country and CSR behavior.Fifth, the level of localization partially had a significant moderating effect between the motivation for local market entry country and CSR behavior.Sixth, the level of localization partially had a positive moderating effect between CSR behavior and performances. The innovations of this study are as follows:First,by combining strategic orientation with CSR research,we try to find out new influencing factors of CSR and analyze their relationship with CSR behavior, which not only enriches the mechanism of the relationship between strategic orientation and CSR behavior, but also reveals how strategic orientation affects CSR behavior in the context of Chinese culture, contributing to the development of CSR research and international direct investment research of multinational corporations.Second,by introducing the concept of creating shared value into CSR research,CSR behavior is divided into responsive CSR behavior and strategic CSR behavior, and corporate performance is divided into non-financial performance and financial performance, and then the relationship between CSR behavior and corporate performance is analyzed. This paper reveals the direct impact of strategic CSR behavior, including the creation of shared value,on corporate performance, which is of great significance to the empirical research on the creation of shared value and strategic CSR.Third,it shows for the first time that localization level has moderating effect on the relationship between factors influencing CSR and CSR behavior,CSR behavior and corporate performance. The localization has been extended to the field of CSR research, and the localization effect has been found from a new perspective.Fourth, for the first time in Chinese academia, this paper empirically analyzed the relationship between factors influencing CSR and CSR behavior of foreign-funded enterprises, and the relationship between CSR behavior and corporate performance.
