The study focused on the delivery of medical welfare services to senior citizens

The purpose of this study is to investigate the current conditions and problems regarding the delivery of medical welfare services to senior citizens living in Metropolitan Areas, Semi-mountainous Areas and Underpopulated Mountainous Areas.;Based on actual case studies of senior citizens living in such areas, we will clarify the conditions necessary to permit these citizens to live independently at home.;An unstructured face to face interview methodology was utilized in this study to elicit free and unbiased responses.;The results of the research will also point to suggestions for support services which will permit these citizens to maintain these independent lifestyles on a continuous basis.
